We arrived in Santa Teresa to find our reservation not honoured by another hotel. It was dark and we were grateful to find a room in the Canaima. It appeared fine. However we soon found an absence of some vital basics. The next morning showed proved that the situation of Canaima is splendid, very relaxing. However there was no hot... More

My husband and I stayed at Canaima for 3 nights during our 2 week break to Costa Rica. Juan has created a wonderful place here - very calm and like its name! We would definately recommend to anyone considering a visit to Santa Teresa. Both Juan and the other guys that help to run the place are all friendly and... More

We were super impressed by Canaima and it was exactly what we were looking for. We spent a week here and it went by way too quickly. We were greeted by Juan Carlos and two front desk staff who carried our bags and brought us to our room and gave us a little (and very informative) tour of the place... More

I travel often and I always look forward to coming back to Canaima. There is something about Canaima that makes you feel relaxed and in complete bliss. Is it the location, the nature, the people, or all the above? We have stayed in several resort properties throughout the country and I can say with confidence...You just found the perfect place!... We loved the place set in mids of lush forest with with monkey hallows and roosters every morning. Superb service, all clean and professional. The whole architecture is very interested giving you privacy and illusion that you are alone with nature. As for the hill it cuts both way: be prepared for 10 floor climb every day (btw we loved... Myself and 2 friends stopped at canaima for 10 nights over Christmas and New Year, the hotel does exactly what it says on the tin, its a chill house, great airy rooms with a good sized balcony and in a great natural environment. The plunge pool is just what you need after a walk up the hill, this did keep... More

Forget apps, emails, facebook and city noise - simply unplug . The hotel has the mood of a tropical paradise perfectly hidden from Santa Teresa's main road and traffic. A pool, floating beds and a jacuzzi will help you disconnect from the world. The staff is TOO AWESOME - loaded with information of their surroundings I was guided to the... More

This is one of the best places with the most character and the nicest staff I have ever stayed. It is impeccably decorated with lots of style. Perfect for the jungle and surfing. It is slightly away from the beach and main drag, which makes it much more quiet and cooler. The staff is incredible and you can tell they... More

Tucked away amidst the trees, monkeys and beautiful birds, Canaima is by far one of the highlights of our trip. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated and the treehouse feel of the outdoor patio area is both charming and meditative. The staff are all incredibly kind and welcoming...we felt right at home the entire time we were there. Thank... More

The meaning of relax and beauty! Surrounded by trees, monkeys, flowers and silence, Canaima is the perfect place to go on vacation in Santa Teresa. 5 minutes walking from the beach and restaurants, 400m. up the hill, you can find this little piece of paradise. Ample, with a full equiped kitchen, bathroom and porche you can enjoy your stay feeling... More
