We stayed for a week at the beginning of April and had a fantastic time. All reviews are correct when they say it's a large resort but its completely worth it. I would recommend staying on the spa side near 394, 392, 395. It is an excellent location and the spa side is more peaceful and not as busy as... More

We just returned from Costa Rica after staying at the Hilton Papagayo for 5 days. Overall our stay at the resort was okay but like the meals they serve, they have all the right ingredients in place they just couldn't seem to pull it altogether to create a 5 star experience. Check-in Check-in was very easy and we were greeted... More

This resort and spa was very clean, guest friendly, and had beautiful ocean views. It was our first All Inclusive experience ever after trips to several Latin American countries. The service was excellent and the meals ranged from average to excellent. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a variety of different breakfast choices. Several activites in and around... I really liked this resort. We had a few hiccups when we first arrived to the hotel. They had no record of our reservation and made us sit for a while worried (with no welcome drink in hand) in the lobby (which had no bar area). They finally sent us to get some drinks and lunch at a restaurant while... More

OK First off... don't trust the opinion of a person from middle america that actually has the time to write reviews of the beer at a Hilton and the way a toilet flushes. Give me a break... If you were looking for a great variety of beer, Perhaps you should of stayed somewhere in Germany...and unless you're a plumber, you... More

I would NEVER go here again. This was the first place that we were staying on our adventurous vacation in Costa Rica, and it was the worst place we stayed at AND the most expensive. It started with our reservation being wrong. We were using Hilton reward points to stay there, and it used almost all that we had. We... More

I went to the Hilton Papagayo with two friends on a 5 day girls trip. It was very relaxing, pretty quiet and we had a fantastic time. The size and location of the hotel are perfect if you are looking for something that feels spacious, laid back, private, and uncrowded, but still has plenty to do. The view is beautiful... More

This is a nice property, but falls short. We used Hilton Points to stay here and it wasn't worth the 70,000 pts/night. That many points is better used somewhere else that isn't an all inclusive...because the food at this place is not worth it. The food was mediocre at best. We stayed at the Westin Playa Conchal 3 nights before... More

Upon arrival our room was ready and no wait for check-in. We were going to be in the 400 level but thanks to the trip advisor reviews I read before going, I made a request to move close to the spa side of the resort. We ended up in room 392....excellent location!! We were able to walk to both sides... More

Stayed a week at this resort for a wedding. I found that the a la carte restaurants were very good, as well as the entire resort. I did like the fact that the hotel was set up as villas instead of a huge traditional hotel. I also liked that the resort was spread out but was still easy to get... More
