First I'll start with the positives....The service was pretty good. The room was cleaned everyday, mini frig restocked and new towels everyday. The room was a basic resort room, it was fine. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. A/C worked fine. The resort grounds were nice and the excursions were good. The shuttle bus ran every 10 mins so... more

I, my wife and two kids (9 & 11 years) spent a week in this resort in June and we loved each and every minute. Considering that this resort was adverised as 3.5 stars we think it was worth the money. I do agree with previous reviews that food selection is rather poor, I also agree that the terrain is... more

i travel with my husband for a week, the food was very good and with great variaty. the service was impeccable, the waiters always with a smile and ready to help. The entertainment at nightt needs improvement, they were the same animators from the day dancing at night, it was not interaction with the tourists, very narcisist the whole group.... more

This was the 1st all inclusive holiday we had and we were pretty open minded, when we got there we were greeted by very friendly staff, our luggage was taken to our room and placed on our beds, the room was very clean, light and airy. The maids were very friendly and we could not fault them at all. The... more

We recently went to Costa Rica in search of a passport stamp and the first vacation for either of us in years. We didn't have any preconceived notions or ideas, just wanted a cheap all-inclusive so we wouldn't have to worry about anything that had access to outside tours and activities. The Allegro definitely fit the bill. It's not the... more

Keeping in mind this was not a 5-star hotel, it was ok. My husband, 17 year old son and I stayed for 7 days. Met some wonderful people, did the zip line canopy tour and white water rafting through Swiss Tours. The excursions were a lot of fun! The black sand beach was amazing! It looks odd, but the water... more

I just came back from the Hotel yesterday. I loved it. To the people that are writing bad reviews I have to remind them that this is not a 5 star hotel, and that they didn't pay a lot of money to stay. I had a lot of fun, it is very hot over there though. The staff is incredibly... more

We had a great time in Costa Rica. We had never been to the country before. We have stayed at the Gran Bahia in Akumal Mexico the last two years, so that is what I will compare it two. First it is a smaller resort built on a mountain. The shuttles run constantly so you can also get a ride... more

First, let me say that we have stayed in a fair number of all-inclusives in the Caribbean and South America. We went here with my parents, who are not as mobile as they used to be. This is definitely an issue at this resort. First, the positives, because let's face it--on vacation, there are always positives. Every room has a... more

We have been staying in all-inclusive resorts for over 20 years, this is by far the worst we have ever stayed in. From day one it was nothing but a disappointment, we checked into our room to find a very old outdated room, the furniture is made of particle board and is litterly falling apart. The bed was as hard... more
