In 35 years of travel we have not met more hospitable and accomodating hostesses than Sabryna and daughter Maryann. The cabanas are spacious, neat and have an exotic look, including handcrafted branch framing each shower stall; the beds are second to none--extreeemly comfortable! My husband I have only positive comments and wonderful memories of staying at Toucan Sittee. We are both professional wildlife biologists, working on birds, and were overwhelmed with the number of species we saw in the beautiful gardens at the hotel. The hotel is on the Sittee River and we watched from the dock, toucans flying across in the evening.... more

The new owners at the Toucan Sittee have radically transformed the place- the rooms are big and gorgeous, with private jungle bathrooms and king sized very comfy beds. We loved every bit of time we spent @ Toucan Sittee. The room was spotless, the outdoor shower was erotic, and the staff was totally friendly. We had a wonderful paddle to Boom Creek with lots of great birding. Felecia was great! Overall, I think they were very interested in our hapiness, and it showed. Thank you! more

From Hell to Heaven (Glovers Reef to Toucan Sittee) It could not get any worse after Glovers, but this was beyond expectations!!! My friends and I stayed at Sir Thomas' at Sittee River in January, 2008. It is an amazing location with very comfortable rooms. The beds were of excellent quality and the ceiling fan made for a perfect temperature. We had the two rooms that shared a screened in porch, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
