It’s been years since I stayed anywhere along Batu Ferringhi, so I thought since my friends had chosen to stay at the Lone Pine that I’d join them. After all, I had read such wonderful reviews and pictures of this place which got me all excited. The hotel is beautifully landscaped, and I particularly loved the melding of modern architecture... I have been travelling to Penang Island hundred times for years and used to staying at Mutiara (closed recently), Park Royal, Rasa Sayang, Golden Sand, Hard Rock and G Hotel, I had never heard of Lone Pine even I was often walking on the night market street in front of the hotel...until I tried to find a good, comfy and... Stayed here late December earlyJanuary, This is our fifth stay at this resort and as previously we had a great time. There are many positives to relate but in particular we love the staff , too many to mention by name. The rooms, the gardens, the pool and the general surrounds are still first class as usual. I see some... More

Great little hotel in a good location and ideal for the night markets that Penang is famous for. Decent sized rooms with a good bathroom. Balcony in my room had an outdoor bath to relax in after a hard days sunbathing in the well kept gardens. Staff are friendly and helpful and the bungalow restaurant serves a good breakfast with... This is my second stay at Lone Pine. My first was last September. It was yet another lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of my city life. Everyone who works here treats the guests thoughtfully. I went to the spa for two treatments and felt that the services offered were better than what I've had at home. The gym... More

Unfortunately I have to agree with some of the more negative comments regarding this hotel. The staff were all friendly and did their best to help but they seemed to lack basic training and direction and as a result were unsure of what was expected from them in a four star establishment. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was... More

We have just returned from spending 10 days at the Lone Pine resort. The resort only has 90 rooms which suited us. The pool and surrounding area were lovely. It was very quiet and sometimes there were only a dozen people around the pool. Rooms were clean and well decorated and the staff were excellent; couldn't do enough for you.... More

A lovely hotel with a very beautiful garden and design. Stayed at premier garden room 808, it is located at the far end of the garden. Good to stay away from the noise of the wedding ceremony that they had during our stay at the garden. The bed is very comfortable, love the bath tub. The welcome drink is delicious.... More
