We stayed here in July for 4 nights. We arrived late and were upgraded to a suite. Lovely bright, clean and contemporary designed rooms - we even had a bath on our balcony which unfortunately we didn't get to use but it was a lovely touch. The beds were extremely comfortable. Loved the fact that the hotel has an eco... More

We have just returned home from Penang and whilst there we stayed again, the fourth time, at the Lone Pine Hotel at Batu Ferringhi. We had a wonderful 10 day holiday ( too short ) and will be back later in the year for a longer stay. The hotel rooms and grounds are first class and exceptionally well kept. The... More

If you have to come to Batu Ferringhi this is the place. Though the new fit-out has diminished some of the old warm charm, it's still a lovely hotel with lots of beautiful open space. The ground floor rooms are a bit enclosed post-renovation whereas they used to be more open & airy. Also preferred the old open air bathrooms,... More

I have stayed in a few hotels in Batu Ferringhi over the years but Lone Pine is now my clear favourite. We stayed for 3 nights in July and loved the atmosphere and design of the hotel. Our room overlooked the garden and pool and had a bath on the balcony which was just gorgeous. I loved the retro chic... More

The hotel has spacious and nicely decorated rooms with great facilities (pool, gym) and remains quiet at night despite its busy location. It sits on the beach which is the real disappointment: forget the cristal waters (quite murky with the used water being poured into the sea, just a few meters from the hotel) and think jetskis, sausage buoys and... We stayed at the hotel from the 12th of July to the 15th of July 2014 and my family had a wonderful time at the hotel. My kids had fun at the pool area and they enjoyed the hammocks tied to the casuarina trees at the lawn of the hotel. The hotel is not too big and therefore feels private... More

Recently i stayed over in lone pine hotel. Wonderful ambiance but the service is not to my expectation. Even though there are not many people in the restaurant, but waited for 15 minutes for a glass of water! Customer service is not good as well..the management need to educate their staff.

Built in 1953 in the colonial era and style. Not surprisingly owned by the E & O. Very uncrowded even when fully occupied. Lots of space for everyone everywhere - poolside, restaurants, spa, gym. All facilities are available, but the style and ambience are still that of a colonial rest house by the sea. Location is excellent - right in... More

Hotel is great.... Stayed in super deluxe room. It had a small air conditioned room with day bed, lounge chair and table attached to a large bedroom. Large balcony with built in small plunge pool and views of ocean. Flat screen TV, excellent modern bathroom. Included breakfast was very good. Room was very well maintained by cleaning staff. Four bottles... More
