I would have loved this in my early 20s and I just wanted to hang out and swap tales, but it was a bit grubby and we didn't really meet any staff until we ame to check out. Also a group of people chatting outside our door until 1.30 am-so great if you want to be sociable, not so much... More

This is a solid option in Batu ferringhi, the beach town up the road from Georgetown Penang. The hostel is a well run, welcoming home with decent enough facilties, One of the brothers who owns/runs the place has travelled all over the world and is really on it with the expectations of worldly travellers. He was also very hospitable and... More

Nice and friendly staff, very good located. The rooms are small but very clean. There are hammocks located all over the place.... the beach is a two minute walk, you're right in the middle of the night market and the bus stop is right in front of the door..... one of the best hostels we've visited all over Asia!!!

This guesthouse is a good place to stay. The room is very clean and spacious. Only the air conditioner that is a little weak, but does the job! All rooms has bathrooms and the showers are shared. The place is simple, but has great atmosphere. The commun area is a little tiny, but has chairs and couch. The employees are... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The owners are really laid back and they make you feel very very welcome :) The beach is right across the street, and there is a shop on the corner which is open 24h. Azlan can tell you everything you need to see or do in the area. Our room was quite small, but... More

We booked in for 1 night and stayed 2. We wanted to stay 3 but it was full. A girl also had booked in for 1 day and had been there over a week. Such friendly staff. The owner took us out for breakfast 1 morning. Just a great feeling to the hotel. I would say go here if in... More

I would honestly like to say thank you to the staff for being so welcoming and generally very nice people, their service was great! And though we only stayed a night I cannot hesitate how amazing the atmosphere was, for those of you who aren't so fond of being away from home this is the best place to go. You... More

Aslan and Izan are hands down the best host I ever had and I've traveled to over 25 countries. I never considered going back to Malaysia but because of them I'll be back in Batu Ferringi someday! Lazyboy provides a very relaxed atmosphere. Aslan and Izan are extremely knowledgeable about Southeast Asia.

The staff at Lazyboys are great. They are helpful friendly & knowledgable of Malaysia. Azlan has some great banter! We stayed for 3 nights, the rooms are basic but comfy enough & although the bathrooms are shared they are decent showers - not particularly warm however but that depends on the preference / fussy-ness of the traveller. Would definitely stay... More
