Annie's entire family is so welcoming and easy to be around. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, air con and fans worked great and breakfast was plentiful. We arrived very late at night and they were up awaiting our arrival. The common area had comfortable couches, a fridge, TV, DVD and plenty of movies (including kid movies). She also has toys... More

We loved our time in Batu Ferrenghi with Annie and her family. We felt welome and well looked after, especially travelling with our 2 year old son who was able to play in their front garden making our stay even more relaxing and stress-free. It was nice to stay in this area of Penang, in a quiet street, away from... More

Annie and Ray the owners are really nice and very helpful. But the rooms they offer are a bit run down, the furniture is a mixture of different sorts and not in the best shape. It's a pity that the common rooms are used to store matresses and furniture, that doesn't create a nice atmosphere. The 2 bathrooms (one on... More

Annie's Homestay consists off 2 adjacent big houses, one only for guests and the other house for the family and a guestroom We had the "master" bedroom in the family house, a spacious clean bedroom with a huge balcony and big bathroom with always warm water. Initially we had booked for 5 nights but after a few days we liked... More

We have stayed with Annie for 3 nights. We didn't know what to exect because we were not used to guesthouses. From the moment we arrived we felt verry welcome. Annie gave us verry much useful information about where to go and where to eat. We came back after 3 nigths Lnagkawi for another night with Annie. We miss her and... More

We spent 5 nights by Annie. You really feel welcome, whole family is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is simple, but fullfilling. Location is less than 10-minutes walking from main street and beach. It would be perfect if there was a jaccuzzi or small swimmingpool. There are in neighbourhood few dogs, which are barking a lot at nights, but if... More

I would prefer to stay in the annex as, friendly as this family is, it is a bit more private and Annie, Raj and the kids are near enough to give all necessary info, For the budgetconscious: how and where you arrive (airfield, busstation): look for bus 101 or 102, this will bring you to the busstop at Golden Sands... We stayed at Annie's home stay and it is just that a home stay, the family most of whom were at a maroon five concert in KL live their life in one half of the duplex and you live in the other. You get to experience living in the malaysian suburbs, engage with their family and the place is really... More
