Staying in this place offers you a way to think of another world full of magic. The garden is beautiful and well maintained, each room is individually decorated with paintings done by the owner, each one has its own character. Take just some mosquito repellent as it's difficult to keep them out.

We spent three nights here and I could have stayed for much longer. The gardens with their tranquil atmosphere are totally relaxing and coupled with Jeanne's artistic flair are a real haven of peace and tranquillity. The rooms are attractively enhanced with Jeanne's amazing pieces of art and are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The sleep quality is perfect. Jeanne... More

My husband and I spent 2 glorious nights with another couple at Assvoelkrans and can't stop telling our friends how much we enjoyed it. Every which way your turn there is a piece of art or fresh flowers or Coco, the Rhodesian Ridgeback or the twin lambs born just before breakfast. Jeanne was a wonderful host and really knew the... We have stayed at this B & B before. It is run by Jeanne who is an artist as well as a proprietor. The rooms are sufficient but very minimal. The gardens are immaculate we loads of garden statues and objects scattered about. Each breakfast is presented differently each day with individual fruit and fruit salads being offered and is... Jeanne's B&B is an amazing place. We had a wonderful time in her beautifully decorated room. Its very private and set in beautiful gardens. Everywhere you look you see something interesting. Jeanne is an artist and that shows. The bed is comfy and the linnen very beautiful. Fresh flowers everywhere. The breakfast is yummy with fresh flowers on the table.... More

This is an absolute gem. We have stayed here three times now and would not think of travelling to South Africa without returning. Jeanne is so welcoming and accommodating. You stay in one of the cottages in a beautiful garden at the foot of the mountains, absolute bliss. The furnishings in each cottage always contain Jeanne's own work, such as... More

We stayed for 2 nights at Aasvoelkrans. The Garden Cottage is great (sleeps up to 4) with a well equipped living room and kitchen area, well designed. Jeanne has a perfect hand for a great mixture of furniture, her own art!!! and flower decorations. The pool is fine, and enables good swimming opportunities. The sun was shining all day, and... This is such a warm, welcoming place in a hot spot in South Africa. The lushes gardens, where green is green, yellow is yellow and red is red, are a paradise. Lovely cottages and animals everywhere. Breakfast is art and the landlady is to die for. We are going back in january 2015!

On the last day of our long road trip this was the perfect place to relax. It really is such a beautiful setting and the decor is really special - not the same decor you find in almost all other accommodation establishments. The garden is amazing! When we go back to Montagu, we will look no further for accommodation. Thanks... More

Arty eccentric hostess running a B&B with lots of attention to arts-and-craft detailing. General atmosphere quite cool which is an odd contrast to the detailed loving decor. The cottage we stayed in was homely and rustic. Breakfasts good and simple. Unfortunately the wooden wall of our cottage - a few steps from the road (route 62) allowed the traffic to... More
