Arty eccentric hostess running a B&B with lots of attention to arts-and-craft detailing. General atmosphere quite cool which is an odd contrast to the detailed loving decor. The cottage we stayed in was homely and rustic. Breakfasts good and simple. Unfortunately the wooden wall of our cottage - a few steps from the road (route 62) allowed the traffic to... More

Another visit to one of the best B & B's we have visited in South Africa, always a super welcome and such a lovely setting. Jeanne always makes us so welcome and her home is an attraction in itself. we look forward to returning soon. Chris and Lyn

We stayed five days at Aasvoelkrans and what can we say: it was excellent at all. The rooms are very nice decorated, from all of them you have access to the beautiful garden and swimmingpool, the location is calm and you are sitting at an every day new designed breakfast table with more than you can eat. The hostess Jeanne... More

We spent a night at Aasvoelkrans with friends and their son. They stayed in the 2 bed cottage and my husband and myself slept in a double room. All the bedrooms are seperate from the main house and looks out over a lush garden, done with great artistic flair and with a lovely big pool. This is an Arabian stud... More

The lush gardens and accommodation of this B&B ooze artistic creativity and it was an absolute pleasure to stay here! Jeanne, the talented artist, was a most wonderful and friendly host who went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, which we certainly did! We stayed in the 2 bedroom self-catering cottage... More

We came back to Aasvoelkrans after a first visit in 2008, and found it just as we remembered - beautiful. The rooms are top notch, well designed and well decorated, and the garden is a lush haven with fabulous views of the surrounding mountains. The pool (more than just a plunge pool) was a special trip on the hot day... More

The beauty of the place hurts your eyes. Flowers everywhere. Yet we felt we were in someones "house" not private. Our beds were shocking and sagged to the middle. We also felt we could not sit on many of the outdoor furnishing, since they were very fragile, ornaments. A good girls weekend away place, but not for free spirited, loud... More

We stayed at Aasvoelkrans for the first time last year and loved it so much that we just had to come back this year. Jeanne looks after her guests so well, you immediately feel at home. All rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. This time we stayed in the cottage which is bigger still and we enjoyed watching... More

We have just spent two nights at Aasvoelkrans and as the previous guests have said- the setting is beautiful, the cottages filled with artistic treasures and the cottage was spotless, with comfortable beds ( we were in the two bedroom cottage with our 3 & 6 year old.) Jeanne has created such a wonderful setting, filled with her and other's... More
