Enjoy swimming in hot pools no matter what the weather is....... The place has many features for kids to enjoy and adults can enjoy a refreshing drink while playing pool. Good for families, friends and office end of year functions.

We first went to this resort several years ago and we loved it. We have recently returned and were very disappointed. The resort is in serious need of refurbishment. The pools are not cleaned regularly and the villas need repair and urgent redecoration. The equipment you need is all there but everything is tired and needs a facelift. When you... More

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to review, We are investigating all the points you mentioned as our guests at Montagu Springs Resort are our number one priority. Would you be able to tell us which date, chalet type & number you stayed in as we are finding it a little more difficult to investigate as our Villas... More

HI All I would like to lodge a complaint as our stay at Montagu was very unpleasant this weekend. We were staying the Large Plettenberg Chalet number 89 and our experience included the below mentioned. • On Friday night we had a gas leak, this in itself is extremely concerning without the obvious safety and health risks • One of... My family of 3 adults and a 3 year old stayed here and were very disappointed with our accommodation. We had booked a large Plettenberg chalet and were shown to chalet number 91. Upon entering we were shocked with what they called refurbished accommodation. Nothing seemed in the least modern and it was very cramped for 4 people. After visiting... More

This place is not ideal for families, their activities are structured to suit their operational needs and not a recreation schedule. The bike rental closes at 12 on a Sunday, they share a tennis court, security and other amenities with the Avalon Springs but you should never pay for anything at Montagu Springs. The manager is rude, obnoxious and extremely... More

This was our first and last visit to Montagu Springs. On booking we were told there is a games room for the children, the Large Plettenbergs where refurbished and there was a mineral pool at the hotel. The games room is no longer, the accomodation was not refurbished, floors filthy and the pool has normal chlorine water... The neighbours where... More

This was our second visit to this resort. We stayed in one of the large plettenbergers. On our previous visit we also disappointed in the accommodation. It was only as a result that we required a last minute booking that we considered this. Although nothing specific is wrong with the venue itself, The accommodation has an overwhelming feeling of smallness... More

I'm an easy traveler, but if a place makes a disappointing impression on me, I feel so cheated! We stayed as a family for 2 nights in the Plettenberg cottages. Although these cottages are relatively spacious, it provides a typical caravan set-up at a cost of R1035/night. The unit has all the catering equipment for 6 people and has a... More

If I'm not mistaken this is my 3rd Montagu Springs review, although I have visited many more times. What makes our last visit different is that this time we chose to stay in the Josmont Heights. My thoughts on Montagu Springs remains the same....great pools, lovely resort, playground, scenery etc and the prices are good. So I'll review Josmont Heights... More

Thank you so much for the positive reviews. Our guests are our number one priority and we take all feedback into account to try better our guests experience. We recently spent 2 nights in a mountain chalet with a "to die for" view of the mountain from our large, superbly equipped & designed balcony. We were totally enthralled with the chalet and it's own... More
