We used the place to park our camper van ($44 for powered site). The facts: Great location for trek as the bus pick up ($30) is from outside park, and there is free day parking out the front. Clean kitchen but make sure you have plates and cutlery as they don't provide these essential utensils. Clean toilets You have to... More

I booked a room at the Tongariro Holiday Park via wotif. The room was very basic, but spotlessly clean. The linen was freshly laundered and great to snuggle into. There was hot running water, very comforting after a long day of hiking. The downside is that the place offers absolutely no food. As I was travelling from point to point,... More

We stayed just one night with a campervan. We had a nice spot, the grounds are pretty. There is everything we needed. The toilet block was a little tired but the showers were great and to be fair, i think the toilet block was undergoing renovations so might be new facilities next year? The parks great quality is its location... More

We had intended to stay here but didn't make it (we are Te Araroa walkers and had to camp down the road on the previous evening). Plan B - stop for coffee and buy some food. No coffee, no food available as no shop there anymore. Plan C - ask for permission to fill our water bottles from the tap... More

Great location to do the Tongariro Crossing, located in between the start and finishing points. Clean grounds and spacious communal kitchen and two large fridges. Booked a room with own bathroom and shower - was excellently sized and clean. Can't fault the place. Be sure to bring plenty of food etc as it's not particularly close to shops. But that's... More

Thank you for our 2 nights. Nice, tidy, Highly recommend to others. Very well located place and nice staff. We will go back and stay there again. This holiday park is very well located, in between the start and end of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Just 30$ pick up-drop off in the morning and after the track

We stayed in a ensuite cabin, bedding was provided and there was a box with plates and cutlery etc. This was a bonus as we thought we had to supply our own. Facilities were tidy, kitchen was small but as it was not a busy weekend, we found it adequate. Great location for doing the Tongariro Crossing.

We stayed there in a cabin while we walked the Tongariro Crossing and part of the Northern Circuit walk as well. Provides affordable, clean, comfortable accomodation - very close to all Tongariro National Park attractions. Friendly helpful staff (run by Greg and Donna). Arrange bus shuttles etc. Very pleased with our stay. Will be back. Stuart M

This holiday park is very well located, in between the start and end of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The staff (very kind by the way) booked the transportation for us early in the morning which arrived on time. They have a nice kitchen, not too big, but fine. They have pans, pots and other things available for guests, which is... More

I was a bit disappointed in this holiday park. Definitely the worst out of 4 we stayed in on recent North Island trip. The facilities are fairly basic and crowded eg the communal showers don't have a dry changing area -just the shower itself then the main room, There were also a lot of sandflies but they don't sell repellent...
