I and my wife booked a room at this hotel on 3th January for the night of 4th. The booking was accepted and we thought everything was all right, anyway we left our mail and our NZ phone for any evenience. On the 4th evening we find a mail (being in vacation of course I don't check my mail every... More

We booked two nights for 6 adults. Total costs $ 360 for three cabins. Upon arrival we were treated like dirt to put it mildly. No normal welcome because.....we arrived with 9 people. No questions asked, just jumped to stupid conclusions that we would try to pay for 6 and stay with 9. What a joke. Everyone would have noticed... More

We chose to stay here last week due to the location to the Tongariro crossing end point. The cabins were ok but the service was terrible. The young girl working at the front desk was very unwelcoming and didn't want to answer any of our questions regarding the crossing. When she did she was very rude and short with her... More

Hopefully the poor customer service experienced by others writing reviews has been rectified. We had a great reception. We turned up late, after closing time, however the owner came out and greeted us in the middle of his dinner. We were welcomed and put up in a cabin which was great as it was raining quite heavily (we were planning... More

We chose to stay here purely because of their advertisment stating that they had hot tubs. We only got there to get told by an incredibly rude receptionist (who runs the place with her husband from what I understood) that "here is not enough room in the for writing that you have to pay for the hot tubs". I was... More

Good Location as a base camp as to book up the Shuttle Bus is next door. The park is further away from the start of the Alpine Crossing but shorter on the finish - which in my opinion is good as you just want to get back after your trek. We decided to skip camping and stay in a cabin... More

We went there recently and were very pleased with the stay in the double room with en suite. The owners were both very friendly and helpful and kept the holiday park in good condition. The kitchen facility was a generous size with modern facilities which made this stay better value. The room was more than adequate for the both of... More

I enjoyed my stay here and thought the facilities were very nice. I have stayed in much more primitive parks, so was pleased with the amenities, especially the very nice group kitchen. Staff was fine with me and allowed me to stay a couple of hours past check out time to use the internet to catch up on some business... More

Good first impressions, friendly lady at the reception, and we were camping that night with gloomy weather headed in, so it was nice of her to recommend using certain tent spots where the water would drain better. Grass was cut nice and short and tent site in really good condition. Facilities were ok, bathrooms kind of weird being "new and... More

We stayed here as we thought it would be the nearest most convenient place to get to the Tongariro crossing. Wish we didn't. I am totally in agreement with some of the reviews below - I don't know whether because they're the closest national park in that area that they feel they can abuse their status and treat everyone like...
