We have just completed a most enchanting 5 days stay in Kamahi Cottage. Combining both perfect privacy with the invaluable presence of the owner's home a few steps away, through a cleverly designed garden, we felt at home the moment we arrived. Exceptionnal scenery all around, very cosy interior with heaps of DVD, CD, cushions and throws, excellent comfortable bed,... More

We stayed here for one night celebrating our wedding anniversary. The cottage is spotlessly clean, packed with all items you could possibly need. This is the only accommodation on the farmstay, and attention to detail is the key here. Kiwi books and DVDs, thick socks, possum hotties, an honesty minibar, even a set of binoculars make this a luxurious home... More

This is the place to stay if you want accomodation with the personal touch. The cottage was in a delightful rural setting but so close to the local attractions around Waitomo. Everything you could want was supplied including luxury toiletries. Each day there were wonderful cakes made by Liz and perhaps some fruit from her orchards. The breakfast which she... More

This is my first time to visit New Zealand, and we chose to stay at Kamahi Cottage in the North Island at one of the night. As attracted by the photos and description in the website, we decided to make the booking. There is only one cottage (booking) per time, the schedule of Kamahi Cottage was pretty packed. We picked... We highly recommend Kamahi Cottage! What a treat to begin our New Zealand vacation with a stay at Kamahi Cottage. This spacious, beautiful, private cottage sits among the spectacular gardens and vistas on a farm owned by Liz and Evan Cowen. Liz and Evan's gracious, warm hospitality and the spotless, comfortable, roomy cottage made a perfect introduction to the New... More

Ahhh, relaxing. That's how you feel when you arrive at Kamahi Lodge. Liz and the cat welcome you and show you around. The sheep are quietly hanging about and you can sink into the sofa with the tea and cake/ biscuits that are left for you. The cottage is furnished and provisioned with everything and anything you could possibly imagine.... More

Words defy me - but in a good way. We did the whole three week self-drive tour of NZ mainly staying in excellent B&Bs booked through the 'Heritage and Boutique' category of the NZ Tourist Board. Kamahi Cottage was our last stop and it was perfect. It is hidden on a farm, with fantastic views of rolling countryside. The cottage... More

Words cannot express the way you feel when you arrive at Kamahi Cottage. You are greeted both by the owners and their lovely cat. You arrive in a peaceful and secluded environment where you can only relax and leave behind all remains of stress and tiredness... After only a few minutes, we already felt the tranquility and serenity and enjoyed... More

Kamahi Cottage is everything it says it is going to be - and more! Hidden in a spectacular rural Waikato location, Kamahi is private and tranquil. From the moment I arrived, Liz (the owner) was there with a great big smile and a lot of useful information about the region. The cottage itself is just adorable and filled with every... More

Peace, quiet, fantastic breakfasts, lovely hosts, comfort and more at Kamahi Cottage. The cottage itself was just the perfect size with a great bed, amazing shower and a kitchen with all the things we needed to self-cater our dinners for 3 nights. The location on a farm at the top of a hill was wonderful with beautiful garden surroundings and... More
