The location was outstanding and the hospitality of the owners was fabulous. Friendly and cheerful. We even had Bag pipes playing for entertainment The breakfast was delicious, the gardens and the views from the property are beautiful TV reception and WiFi was below average. More

Thanks so much for your feedback - unfortunately the TV reception and Wi-Fi quality are currently beyond our control. Once NZ has rolled out its ultra-fast broadband programme, we'll also be able to offer the sort of speeds you enjoy overseas... More

We arrived at the cottage as our first official stop in NZ on our 3 week honeymoon. If we could have stayed all 3 weeks there, we would have. It's that good. I'll do my best to explain why, but please understand, its a daunting task as there's so much to love about the place. We arrived tired if invigorated... More

Everything was wonderful and Liz was a delight. The breakfast was exceptional -- as good as any we've had in 5-star hotels. We definitely recommend. More

I had such exciting plans to go and stay at the cottage but by the time I actually arrived I was sick. Liz met me at the 'fall out of the car' stage and never stopped 'mothering' me with treats, compassion and offers of help. She gave me my space and only popped up to bring me the most amazing... We stayed with Liz and Evan only one night and wished we had planned for more nights with them. Their property is beautiful and they are truly great hosts. Liz is a fabulous cook, we had one of our best meals with her. If you decide to stay with them, do eat in. It's not to be missed. Thank you... More

There is a part of NZ's North Island that is commonly referred to as 'The King Country'. For those travellers who enjoy exploring 'a little off the beaten track', there is in the King Country a veritable feast of 'things to see and do' midst the region's verdant landscapes. But, paradoxically, in the rural parts of the King Country, there... More

We're so glad you did find us! Although we're only 15 kms off State Highway 3, we do appreciate that "back country" travel in NZ for the first-time visitor can seem challenging. Luckily Google mapping is a great resource. More

A comfortable cozy cottage on a scenic farm with two welcoming and engaging hosts. We were taken away by Liz and Evan's hospitality. We ate dinner and breakfast with them in their homestead, all cooked by Liz and both excellent. I had an engaging discussion with Evan about New Zealand's gov't, politics, and economy and about farming in New Zealand,... More

The greenery scene at the doorstep of kamahi cottage was magnificent. Its what I constantly miss of New Zealand. A pleasure found on google, booked and off we went with a high expectation since its said to be New Zealand's one and only 5 stars farm stay. Even though we went with already-high expectations, we were still surprised at many... More
