Quirky B & B with themed rooms. We stayed in the Bush room which was clean and comfortable with a small shower room. 10 minutes walk to the caves and town. Breakfast was lovely. All the guests sit round a large table but we were given a choice of time when we wanted breakfast. Check in time is not until... More

This small exclusive B&B in Waitomo was just perfect for us. It was a bit hard to find (for our GPS) but the ever friendly NZ people helped us, it is quite close to the Waitomo Caves village. The location is on the top of a small hill, which gives a very nice view. The house is beautiful and the... More

The Inn is a perfect place to stay if you are doing the Caves and if you are doing the Caves be sure to book with Spellbound and not the other Big commerical tours. John and Helen were wonderful hosts, I loved Helen's Irish stores. We learned about the saying "Happy as Larry" my husband's name while we were there.... More

We stayed overnight in two rooms at this lovely inn which has just 4 themed rooms. The hosts John and Helen are a delightful couple and extremely helpful regarding local attractions and more. Breakfast was a gourmet experience, specially John's special Waitomo eggs and the excellent selection of honeys. The views were spectacular as this inn is on a hillside.... More

We stayed for one night when doing the caves experiences. This is a perfect spot. Very close for car or walking, the room was very clean, tidy and homely. We were waiting for the thin walls noise others have reviewed. It isn't a problem and we are very particular. If you have done a cave experience proper you should and... More

Thanks to Helen and John, only stayed one night but great little room and amazing breakfast. Really close to glow work caves and the B&B is set back on a hill with a nice view. John's breakfast was really good and he talked us through all the different honeys and chutneys that that they had, Helen has great banter too!

A wonderful place to stay. The driveway up is a bit intimidating but well worth it! A spectacular view of farm land from atop the hill. I spent one day there and truly enjoyed the sights and sounds of the cow farm below. There is a beautiful native garden outside the home. My room was nice and I really enjoyed... More

Great little find in the Waitomo area. John and Helen are as nice as can be - both with rapier wit and more than happy to help. John even provided to us - without being asked - towels and soaps for our caving trip the next day. BEAUTIFUL view from atop the hill. Lovely breeze in the summer afternoon -... More

This beautifully maintained property has some of the best views of the region and is an excellent pit stop if you are travelling to/from Waitomo for the glow works or other related activities. The hosts were charming and extremely welcoming. The entire place was full when we stayed for one night and guests were travelling from around the world which... More

This is a pretty minimalist B&B made excellent by spectacular views, wonderful breakfasts, and charming hosts. Rooms are small, and sound proofing is indeed minimal, as other guests have noticed. We spent a memorable evening sitting under a tin roof eating pizza and drinking spectacular wine, listening to the rain wand watching the views change as the weather changed. We... More
