It's a must do for Auckland. Challenging but fun yet exciting! Looking forward to visiting again. Very intrigued. Great guides too! Safety precaution all taken and the best bit is you get a warm hot soup at the end. Love the excitement and highly recommended.

We originally hadn't heard of Kiwi Cave rafting, but after a bit of research we plumped for them, basically because it was the cheapest. Our room was heavily discounted when we stayed in their hostel, and it was thee cheapest price we had seen for abseiling, rock-climbing etc... (I think it was part of a deal). not really sure what... I have been in New Zealand for a couple weeks now and this was the most fun experience I've had so far. I would definitely recommend this to anybody coming here. It's pretty physically demanding when the water is high but that made it more fun. Rebecca was a awesome guide

Clean, small, right next to the rafting office. Got there late and managed to find the key after a bit of confusion. It was pitch black and the security light only stayed on about 3 seconds...not easy when trying to enter a code in a box to retrieve the key! The most expensive hostel we stayed in in nz but... It's a good place for the night if you're doing the caving with them. They drove us into town the next day for the bus. There isn't much to actually do there though (it's out of the main town). Staff was very helpful and friendly. No one else was there, bit it was kinda nice to just relax.

This family owned and operated facility is priceless. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left something in the air made me feel like home. I received a larger room at no extra price and enjoyed the amenities. Nothing over the top but clean and well maintained. The hostel is unlike the hustle bustle of others and isn't... More

We had the best time black water rafting and exploring the caves with Rap Raft nRock! At first we were a little confused at the which company to go with, but in the end we decided to go with RRR because they provide a bit of everything - Assailing, rafting, exploring, glow worms - and also because they were the... I thought that the times spent in the caves was great fun. The abseil down into the gorge was spectacular as were the glow worms. The black water rafting was a bit tame to say the least, more like being on a lazy river ride. Be warned if you are claustrophobic that the guide will make you squeeze through some... More

I gave my husband a voucher which still had 6 months to run, however staff charged him extra as the price had increased. I think this is very wrong, and will not be recommending anyone to use rap and raft. What bad buisness sense, come on Rap n Raft, there is too much competition out there to start doing underhand... we went as a large group of friends and couldnt get into some of our other black water rafting choices. As a rulle i dislike absailing and rockclimbing as im super scared of heights but i didnt want to miss out on the rafting and glowworms. Our guide was very easy going and turns out it was all good once... More
