Let's start with Ze Maria himself, the owner and the one that lends his name to this amazing little hotel. He is a fantastic person and goes out of his way to make all guests feel welcome. That pretty much sets the example for the rest of the staff, which are all amazing. The hotel itself is perfect! Located 3... More

I was so excited for this trip and for being known one of the best accomodation in Noronha I couldn't wait. The room was very basic, breakfast was poor, not many options. We went during low season but it doesn't matter as still very expensive. It is a good location but it does not worth the money.

Amazing grounds, personal greetings, courteous employes from janitor to manager, food is average, but with excellent presentation, bangalos clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom, with spacious shower. Lots of steps to go anywhere, gives excuses to taste the amazing drinks the barmen at the pool side bar prepares at the en of a touring day in this Island. The gastronomic festival;... More

We spent a week at Pousada Ze Maria, and while there was certainly a number of positive things about the Pousada, the overall experience was not worth the price that we paid (and we were there in low season). We stayed in one of the lower price "apartamentos", which needed a facelift and was really no better than an old... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely pousada during the 2014 World Cup. We stayed in a deluxe room #6 with a wonderful view of the mountain. It seemed like the best choice after visiting other pousadas during our visit to the island, expensive but not outrageous. Room had great AC and comfortable furnishings. Staff was very helpful at... I have a backlog of hotels that I need to write reviews about, but this one was at the top of the list. It was, hands down, the absolute best hotel service I've ever had. It has a lot to do with the staff and it has a lot to do with the fact that there aren't that many rooms,... More

First of all Great Location with great view of Morro do Pico from the pool. You can walk from here to Conceicao beach in about 15-20 mins, but hiring a driver is inexpensive and comfy. Rooms and restaurant are clean and neat. We stayed in suite which was quite large. Pool is smaller, but provides excellent views. Food is delicious,... More

We spent four days here at the beginning of March 2014. I have known about Fernando de Noronha for a number of years, and finally made it to this beautiful place this year (2014). We flew from the US into Recife (stayed in Olinda - a very cool little historic town right next to Recife), then following Noronha went on... More

Location: great view of Morro do Pico from the pool. The pousada is towards the top of the hill going to the airport. You can walk from here to Conceicao beach in about 15-20 mins (downhill there and very uphill coming back). Cleanliness: probably 3/5, we didn’t stay on the fancy suites, but in the cheaper rooms down the bottom.... More

Pousada Zé Maria is horrendously expensive. But if you can afford it, it is worth staying there for the comfort, great food, and very friendly service. Its front desk is amazingly helpful, bungalows are great and well-furnished, and the small pools overlooking the island´s volcanic peak is hard to be led away from. Its weekly dinner banquet is much over-hyped,... More
