It can be a little difficult to rate hotels in Holbox. We have stayed at 4 different hotels in Holbox, all at different price points, so I will be as objective as possible. The hotel is located in a great location - right at the edge of "town", so very convenient for restaurants, shops etc... However this also means there... More

First off, we were a bit nervous about making a reservation because the Amaite Hotel website does not show photos inside all the types of rooms. But I am really glad we gave it a try. We stayed in one of the apartment style suites with our family of 4. There were 3 bedrooms, a big but simple living area,... More

We are a family of 5 and this place worked great. Beautiful beach, great food ,friendly service. Walking distance to everywhere in town. It is a simple non pretentious great place. They are still working on completing an upgrade of the whole hotel, and perhaps the lack of complete functionality of the toilet would be my only 'but'. Still, I... More

We chose Holbox as our honeymoon destination. It was exactly what we were looking for. A paradise far from the busy lifestyle we live in NYC! The hotel is a perfect place to stay. You feel a part of island while having still having your basic needs, great running water, air conditioning, and we loved the firm beds. The service... More

This hotel is quaint and relatively 'basic'. The rooms were perfectly clean and well air conditioned. There was a nice fruit basket in the room. Location was perfect with a beautiful ocean view. Service was top notch. I'd stay here again. Note: beds are definitely 'hard'.

We spent two nights in this hotel, the rooms are rustic like the area demand. They clean it every day. No tv and the bed was a little hard, no soft at all.Our balcony was exactly ocean front, the view in the morning is amazing. A lot of birds flying all around make you feel in paradise. Our one year... More

A luxurious hotel at a most affordable price. Perfect location. Wonderful service. The beach is ten steps away from your room. The main street of soft sand and tasty food is right there. Relaxing and peaceful.

We didn't stay at the Amaite Hotel but we did eat in the restaurant there. It was our last night in Holbox and we wanted a special meal to end our vacation. We walked around looking at the various restaurants and dismissing them and settled on Casa Nostra which happened to be closed that night. So, we started walking up... More

My wife and I just returned from our "mystery trip" to Holbox. I did not tell mi preciosa esposa our destination until we were on our way to the airport and, as might be imagined, we were a little anxious about how our adventure would turn out. Holbox and Amaite Hotel & Spa did not disappoint. As this review concerns... More

Eduardo and the rest of the staff were friendly and hospitable. The location was perfection, on a beautiful and well maintained slice of the beach yet right at the end of the main road to town. The breakfast of fruit with toast and jam was a light but delicious way to start your morning and drifting back to sleep in... More
