WHEN the roof has been finished this will - once again - be worth the stay. The staff are firendly, the location perfect, and the rooms wonderfulk. OPity about the roof - when we stayed in April it was hammers and saw all day and we had to try and restrain them from working 'after ahours@!! more

first, holbox is a beautiful place, whith great beaches. la palapa hotel is really great, right on the beach and very beautiful. the manegers are great and help us to get to Cancun. we highly recommened it more

We just spent a week in this hotel and from all the great reviews were very excited until we saw and heard all the construction on the roof. They are building a palapa of sorts on the roof and being just under it on the second floor, the noise of the chain saw and constant banging was very disruptive ...... more

On one of the quieter islands around the Yucatan region. Three hours by bus from Cancun to Chiquila, then a short boat journey to Isla Holbox. Beautiful hotel on the beachfront, lovely rooms, we had one with a balcony and hammock, very helpful staff. more
