Casa Takywara has got it all right! 5 quaint comfy rooms, built and operated in respect of nature. The hotel can arrange your transfers from Cancun airport. It is a two hour road trip in the boonies, followed by a 30 min boat ride to the island. 75 $ ride pp, one way. If ever you get to Chiquita port... More

We just returned from a perfect week at Casa Takywara. The hotel staff -- including Marcella and Bertha--couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful to the guests. They were always available but never intrusive. We had two rooms -- the penthouse and a first floor suite (Arie). Both were nicely decorated and very comfortable. The penthouse views were spectacular --... More

I have never felt this welcomed in a hotel! The staff is happy to help you with everything you desire. The location is simply amazing! It takes you 30 seconds to reach the beautiful beaches of Holbox. The "city centre" is also only a few minutes away. When you stroll down the long beaches of Holbox you will notice that... More

Casa Takywara is a small, quiet, well-maintained, and well-managed lodge at the edge of Holbox. It is an eco-lodge and not a hotel - it has no swimming pool but has direct access to the Caribbean/Gulf of Mexicobeach. Everything they provide is based on ecological principles, which may be inconvenient for some visitors. However, the staff extend warm hospitality including... More

My teenage daughter and I just returned from 5 wondrous nights at Casa Takywara. The property is small, intimate, quiet and a lovely 10 minute stroll from the town center. We stayed on the top floor, penthouse suite and had the most amazing ocean view with incredible sunsets. Breakfast was delivered every morning around 830am, and included fresh baked bread,... More

I choose Casa Takywara based on the reviews from this board and I must say that they are all true, this place is amazing! Tucked away in the mangroves and on a private stretch of the west beach. Very quiet and still close to town, only a 10 minute walk down the beach. The staff here are very service orientated... More

Dear friends. How delicious to know that you were well cared for in this home that is now your home. Takywara is a small hotel, designed for a good rest full of small details that will make you feel loved in a very discret manner. It will be a pleasure your next visit. Warm regards from Casa Takywara´s friends. More

This place is like paradise! The place is kept clean and it is very beautiful. Bertha and her staff are very nice, friendly and service minded. We stayed in the bungalow at the beach, which is the only one and it is really worth the extra money, even though the main building is very nice. Breakfast was delicious and brought... More

We stayed at Takywara for four nights in late Jan. We arrived at 6.30am off an all night coach and were greeted with a warm welcome. Marcela was enormously helpful all the way through the stay, and we got bumped into the enormous top level suite for half our trip because of some minor works going on outside the room... More

There are rare times when one stays in a place so good that you don't want to tell others for fear that it will become impossible to get a reservation in the future. Casa Takywara is such a place.
