This was an amazing place to stay on the lovely island of Holbox. Marcela and Lupe were so helpful at every point, making our stay peaceful and restful. They think of all kinds of small details to make your stay restorative. It is away from the bustle (such as it is) of the downtown area, so that you feel a... More

I booked this place for a quick honeymoon trip after a crazy couple of weeks at Cancun where we got married, I couldn’t have chosen a better spot!!! Casa Takywara is a beautiful boutique Hotel for honeymooners if you are looking for peace and quiet and to be pampered all day long.. We did it all (…) a nice tour... More

Since there are virtually no cars on the island, we were taken to the hotel by golf cart. We passed through the square, the hotels with bars, crowds, and purple-colored pools. And we kept going. Though the hotel is an easy walk to downtown, it feels totally separated, as if in a tranquil place that only occasional wanderers venture to.... More

The experience in Takywara was ver nice. We spent NYE there and was really good. Berta, Lupe and Marcela pay attention to the small details and help so that the experience is personal and lovely. Ask for the Sol room, it is very nice and the view is really something.

My husband and I spent the first half of our honeymoon on Isla Holbox, and we had a perfect stay at Casa Takywara. The hotel is gorgeous, calm, quiet, well-located, and the staff are so kind and courteous. Lupe and Marcela helped make our visit to Holbox memorable by helping us arrange outings and tours. It was so easy to... More

We were able to be in the bungalow on the beach. It was quiet, private and very comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to our porch every morning at 8:30. The bread was warm and delicious and the fresh fruit was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and efficient. It was a great place to relax, read, and wander the beach. We... More

My wife and I stayed at Casa Takywara in mid-November, and found it to be 'as reviewed', with a beautiful setting, a great room, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff (special thanks to Bertha and Marcela). It is not a "5-star" hotel in terms of luxury and comfort, but has such a lovely ambience and natural setting that it provides... More

Exceptional service and hospitality by all staff and especially Marcela! We were treated like royalty! The way everything was organized & handled, the amazing kindness, the friendly but professional approach, cleaniness, decoration, amenities, unforgetable beach, great breakfast! &Amp; above all the fact that we agreed that when we return to Holbox, we will only stay at Casa Takywara! Thank you... More

Casa Takywara offers one of the most incredible setting, service and accommodations available in the island, without over charging for food, amenities or location. Great option for experiencing Holbox without sacrificing comfort and minutes away from restaurants.

The grounds of this hotel are beautiful - what I'd call "tamed nature". My second floor room was very clean and comfortable. I don't like to use air conditioning, and the room could have used a ceiling fan, as the floor fan provided was noisy and only had one speed. Though it's a ten-minute walk from town, the path along... More
