I just returned from my third visit to Tepoztlan and La Villa Bonita with Chef Ana and her always wonderful home. As always, it was an incredibly relaxing and educational time. The market visits were as lively and inspiring as I could hope for as we chatted to vendors and collected recipes and traditional methods to make what was on... More

I just returned from my fourth visit to LaVilla Bonita. I first went 6 years ago. I was so impressed, I took all the female members of my family as a gift. They loved it. In fact, the girls all had so much fun, I have booked again in September to take them all. Next time I went with two... More

My husband loves to cook and so I surprised him with a week here, and it was one of the best trips we have ever taken. Tepoztlan itself is a gorgeous town with cobblestone streets and a charming market. Each day started with a trip to a market with Ana, who is more than just a formidable chef and teacher,... More

If you have any type of culinary experience leave it at home, you cook Ana's way and safety and sanitation are not high on the list. Negatives Dont sign up for the Sunday or any of the special gourmet candlelight dinner for $65 a person. You dont even get that much food and you can go to the local town... More

Just had the privilege of spending a magical week at La Villa Bonita - wow, everything exceeded my expectations! Chef Ana and Robb made us feel incredibly welcome and taken care of, part of the family. Their property and its setting are stunning. Guest rooms are very comfortable with many nice touches - locally-made bath products, artwork, filtered water taps,... More

Since our return from Villa Bonita we have been raving to all our friends about the wonderful time we had there. Our room was beautiful, serenely decorated in white on white, with a spacious wide verandah sitting area. Robb was there waiting for us at the airport as arranged, taking care of us, sorting our currency issues and delivering us... More

Had a wonderful opportunity to be whisked away into the hillside of Tepoztlan. The chef Ana and her staff and family invited us into their culture, cooking and provided a relaxing week of shopping at open-air markets, and the community of guests to cook with, share skills and finally relax to an evening of home cooked Mexican cuisine. Our room... More

Beautiful people, beautiful location, beautiful food, beautiful experience. I will be back! Chef Ana and her husband Robb have created a truly unique experience at La Villa Bonita. From the time I made my reservation online with Robb, I felt truly cared for. Every detail was attended to, from picking me up at the airport, to making sure I had... More

We have traveled the globe and the week spent at La Villa Bonita was one of the best vacations of my life! We were picked up at the airport by the staff and whisked out of Mexico City and a short time later arrived in Tepoztlan, an amazingly charming town nestled in the mountains. We had a wonderful dinner our... More

Disappointing. We’ve been to culinary schools in Italy, Portugal and Spain and had some high expectations of La Villa Bonita based on their website. Unfortunately, they didn't deliver. The good – The optional day tour of the ruins of Xochicalco and Taxco with guide Arturo. He is knowledgeable and personable. The highlight of our trip. The not-so-good – Chef Ana... More

There is a saying that “the customer is always right.” In our over 15 years of experience at La Villa Bonita, that is the case 99.9% of the time. When we receive sincere criticism, we take it to heart and foster appropriate action....but sometimes you get that .1% who are insincere, have an ulterior motive, and direct their comments to...
