We visited this Cuban hotel for one night when touring the west side of Cuba. I always tend to see the best in any situation, so this is what my review offers. I'm also not the type to hang out by the pool. Hate complainers! Especially those that expect things to be as they are accustomed to back home. Site:... more

We stayed in Villa Soroa for 1 night during our 3 week road trip, primarily as a stopover between Cabo San Antonio and Cienfuegos. It is not really a hotel, more of a mountain resort with chalets dotted everywhere. From the outside, the chalets look fine, but inside they are pretty basic and need of refurbishment. They are clean enough... more

We stayed here 2 nights. Arrived here on saturday with the intention to stay 3 or 4 nights. We booked only for 2 nights because we couldn't pay with our creditcard. In the daytime between 9 and 5 the pool is taken over by lots of cubans who pay 10 cuc for a daypass. We didn't mind because we were used... more

I stayed here as part of a Cuban bike tour. The location is tremendous and the scenery terrific. I would highly recommend the massage therapist whose services take place with a natural mineral water pool. What a great massage! While we ate only one meal at this location, the pool is lovely but you stay here for the scenery and... more

We stayed at Villa Saroa on the first leg of Travel Collection's 'Secret Cuba' tour, arriving 17 Dec. This was our 2nd trip to Cuba in 2008 (we did Natural Cuba in Feb/Mar) and we were disappointed with many aspects. On Natural Cuba there were 24 people in the group (and the guide learnt all our names in 24 hrs).... more

We stayed in an individual chalet which wasn't very private but was clean and fairly modern for Cuba. The complex is quite isolated but is fine if you go on holiday to soak up the sun. The pool area was nice (but if you're outside at dusk you'll get bitten to pieces)! There was a shop for basics. The food was Ok. more

This hotel has around 50 chalets spread out over a quite compact area and is fairly isolated. There are no ATMs, shops or any outsdide ammenities at all. There is a shop on site but it has a v limited range of stock so take all you need if you stay here. The chalet was comfortable nice large beds and... more

We stayed here for 6 days and could have stayed longer. We found it a beautiful place, with walks through amazing countryside and a fascinating trek to the La Rosita community led by Alberto, the site's naturalist. The food gets a bit samey after a while but it is certainly OK, even the French toast and chocolate. I would also... more

We stayed 6 nights at Villa soroa, Pinar del Rio, as part of Travel Collections Secret Cuba tour. It is a very beautiful and peacefull area and Villa Soroa is a collection of 49 chalets, a great pool and a restaurant. The chalets were basic but comfortable, but because of the draught we didn't have water for the first 24... more

We stayed here as part of an Explore trip (Backroads and Beaches). It's a large site with a lot of cabins laid out with a central swimming pool, all a bit incongruous. Cabins are basic with the usual noisy aircon and for some reason the water was off most of the time. Not much would keep me here for very... more
