We actually visited Cayo Levisa in early January 2004, during our honeymoon, and have been dreaming of it ever since. Both of us are Canadian, and experienced travellers, having each spent years living in four countries apart from our own, and travelled to more than 50 others. This was the kind of place you imagine when you're looking for a... more

Stunning location, great beach, decent bungalows.....but the service & food, considering the prices per night, is very poor. Having visited Cayo Levisa less than a week ago, the island is let down by shoddy, inconsistent service; & sub-standard, mass produced buffet style food. x2 examples worthy of comment. 1) On a lovely, sunny day, there was no barman serving between... more

Great place for a proper beach break while backpacking around Cuba. Enough to come in on the morning ferry, stay overnight and leave the following day in the afternoon. I've been there with my frinends on the second-last stop during a 2 week backpacking trip around Cuba and before spending the last 3 days in Havana. Proper chillout with the... more

What a view and beach and friendly staff. Cabana's a bit outdated and spotted a black scorpion in our room... Food boring as always in Cuba, no lobster.... but if you like to be on a quiet bounty island this is the place if the daytrippers have gone... more

The woman manager was horrific and very rude. The food was even worse. The island is very nice and remote but between the mosquitos and bad food/service I would never recommend this place. more

We travelled with Travel Collection on their Contrasts of Cuba package;part of which was 4 nights at the Cayo Levisa hotel. We found the island very relaxing and stunning with a beautiful turquoise sea and golden sands one dreams about. Food leaves a lot to be desired, but that is what we expected. Also there are blocks of apartments recently built,... more

This unspolit island is the perfect getaway if you seriously want nothing but sun, sea, sand (and dont mind a bit of wind). The recently updated cabins are clean, comfortable and now have safes installed. We enjoyed our stay so much, we stayed an extra 2 nights. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful, but get up... more

After a few dissapointing experiences in Cuba, we were expecting the worst when we arrived at this island. We were very pleasantly surprised! The cabins were of a good standard and reasonably priced in comparison to other places. Air con, 110v plugs, clean, warm water, TV and safes were being installed whilst we were there. The beach itself is great,... more

After traveling a lot we reached Cayo Levisa and were so grateful. Paradis is understated. We were very impressed by the standard of the rooms - not expected after our experiences in Cuba for this price. They built a lot of huts (against the sun) on the beach because there are not so many palm trees... you can walk for... more
