Stay here if you get the chance. We have stayed all over the Island over the past 12 years, The Crane Resort is the best for Children, Teenagers and us old timers! The Pools, the views, the lack of insects because of the wonderful constant breezes, fab, fab. For the price of very ordinary villa in Portugal or Spain, you... more

We arrived at the Crane on a Friday afternoon. The hotel is easily the most convenient to the airport - about a ten minute drive. Our room wasn't ready but we had lunch and rum punches at the Carriage House, which is the original stable for the old hotel. Very cool, situated at the highest point on a cliff overlooking... more

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days at the Crane. We had an Ocean View suite on the 4th floor of one of the buildings with a large balcony with lounge chairs, small table/chairs and a 4ft deep plunge pool. It was rather cool and windy during our stay so the pool didn't get much use. The suite was... more

We stayed one week in the historic 'old hotel' for our honeymoon, and it was just fantastic. The beach is truly stunning, I've never experienced such soft pink sand. The staff at the Crane were very friendly and helpful. We had a suite that was lovely, elegant and comfortable, and I was very pleased with the kitchen as I love... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the start of our Virgin Educational visit to the island and were wowwed from the moment we arrived. The resort has a village like atmosphere with a couple of shops in the central reception area and the restaurants at the rear overlooking the amazing beach. The pool complex is propably onee... more

Their restaurants on rock cliffs looking down to the spectacular sandy beach. The wave action is missing from most Barbados beaches, but this one is just incredible. It was named one of the 10 best in the world and I agree (I've been around the world's top spots). The pool area in my photo is perched on the cliff above... more

We are actually still at the crane waiting for our AC to be fixed for the 2nd night in a row. We slept in a sauna one night and will not do this again. We arrived excited for a getaway sans kids and spent most of our first afternoon moving form room to room (the first faced telephone poles and... more

For what it costs to stay here, I think most people will be shocked at the absolute grandeur of the ocean view rooms and the spectacular beach. You could pay 4x as much and not have as nice a room nor anywhere near as great a location and view. Yes, the AC doesnt work. So what? Who needs AC when... more
