My wife 2 children and I stayed at Highgate for the New Year 2014. We have stayed here before and have always thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The cottages are built to an exceptionally high standard and positioned in a most beautiful part of Wales with stunning views of the countryside. The cottage is spacious, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Chris... More

We arrived at highgate and stayed in two, well appointed properties for our New Year get away.At first all seemed great, however we soon discovered we had a problem in one of the properties as it was also home to lots of flys! This must be an ongoing problem as there were several cans of fly spray in the property... More

Due to very unusual climatic conditions for this time of the year, (very mild late Decmeber early January,) the Cottage was affected by cluster flies, when the visitors reproted it to us they were immedilately offered alternative accommodation, they declined the offer, the Cottage was sprayed with insecticed and cleaned. Highgate has eight properties and only this one was affected,... More

This was a first for us, a new area that we hadn't visited before. We weren't disappointed. We thought that highgate was stunning. Very cosy and brilliantly run by Renska who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Our room was warm, spacious and had a very comfy bed. Lovely breakfast and a great 12 mile country walk from the... More

The building is beautiful and our room was comfortable, spacious and full of character. The breakfast was good and the lady who was running the B and B was very welcoming and helpful. This is a perfect break for anyone looking for peace and quiet, as the B and B is situated in the countryside, surrounded by fields and beautiful... More

We were given a night's stay at Highgate for Christmas and decided to stay for the weekend to explore the surrounding area. We drove here after work and got terribly lost as our Mobile phone GPS would only work if you had reception which we lost about 5 miles out. Once word of warning, bring a map! We stayed in... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highgate House. It is a lovely old house. The rooms are large and well furnished with sitting chairs. The shower was good with plenty of pressure. The breakfast was good with plenty to eat. We were in U.K. for 5 weeks and this was the only B & B that offered me porridge. Welsh... More

We stayed in one of the cottages, well equipped and spacious. Our 4 children (ages 7-15) immediately felt at home and we all had a great stay. I can imagine that the combnation of self-catering and B&B must make for an excellent family get-together. Many thanks for a lovely stay.
