We have stayed at Bealach several times. On this occasion we could only stay for one night which was a pity, as we would have preferred to stay for a few days. As always we were greeted by Hilary, shown to our rooms, then given tea/coffee and home made flapjacks and biscuits. Dinner was excellent, as always, and was followed... More

We will certainly return here - a real gem. Amazing remote location, lovely cosy rooms, friendly owners passionate about hospitality and a brilliant dinner and breakfast. Also you are encouraged to socialize with fellow guests and we ended up having a really fun evening. Bravo!

It's a long slog up the track to get their on a bike, but once there it is a really great place in a beautiful peaceful location. Wonderfully inventive food cooked by Hilary at dinner and breakfast. Checkout the home made marmalade. Top notch service without being over the top and nice touches like afternoon tea and complimentary whiskey. We... More

We travelled with friends in August to this lovely guest house hidden away in a beautiful tranquil location. They had been before and were sure we would like it. They weren't wrong! Very comfortable, charming hospitality and outstanding food. Thank you for a lovely two night stay. Wish it had been longer.

This little gem is located 1.5 miles up a country road in in the Salachan Glen. There are 3 letting bedrooms - twin with shower, double with bath and double with shower. Our room, twin plus shower had a lovely outlook over the garden. There is a comfortable living room with TV reserved for guests which leads to a pleasant... More

This is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Worth going a little off the beaten track to get to. Tranquil setting, amazing attention to detail and excellent food and service. Make sure you book dinner you will not be disappointed.

A real gem of a guest house for those who appreciate a secluded, quiet location, but still within easy access of Oban & surrounding area. A very homely atmosphere where the owner's personal interests are reflected well. Very warm welcome, and superb food. An excellent stopping over place for those travelling longer distances.

I have stayed at Bealach four times and I have never been disappointed. Jim and Hilary are fantastic hosts and the meals are superb. Breakfast is amazing but dinner is something to behold. Jim can be seen picking fruit and veg from the garden and then Hilary will put together a taste sensation! The Haggis, Whisky and cream starter is... More

I have never stayed at such a well run and comfortable establishment and considering the journey every pot of local honey , every hot water bottle and gourmet Worcestershire sauce has to make up the side of a remote, spectacular, mountain, it is a remarkable achievement . Professionalism at its very best!
