From the moment I walked up the steps to the front door I knew this was going to be a very special place to stay! And I Was Not Wrong!! From the lovely swallow chicks nesting above the door to the fresh, clean, comfortable, well appointed rooms with terrific views, you just know it has all been put together with... More

If you ever get to visit Tarbert please stay in The Moorings, the place is so welcoming and very well placed for the ferry and restaurants. The B&B is very clean and nicely finished, Andrew made us feel like we had come home. The room I had was twin bedded with every form of comfort with a breakfast encompassing everything... More

Unique guest house with incredible views and one of the most charming we have stayed in (out of 200 plus in our travels in the UK). Andrew is such a delight. He made us feel very special and offers everything you would want from a top class guest house in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland; warm friendly... More

Today we landed in this very cosy B&B. The friendly owner proudly showed us around the recently renovated place. The rooms aren't big, but they look great. Lots of attention for detail. Toilets (and sometimes a shower) are en suite. Everything is definitely clean. The beds are comfortable. We really enjoy being here. Too bad we can only stay one... More

Andrew was wonderful, he kindly welcomed us along with his clan of bearded collies. The location was more than perfect. A+ bedding, all rooms had en-suites, TV in all rooms, tea, coffee and biscuits each room, great lighting, tarbert castle almost right above you, well the breakfast will last you for the whole day. Breakfast included, egg, bacon, sausage, potoato scone, fresh berries, toast, blood pudding,orange... More

We have stayed at The Moorings a few times over the past 25 years and it has never failed to please. Andrew is an excellent host and his B&B just keeps getting better. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, cosy and absolutely spotless. The garden is lovely and very quirky and was ideal for a bit of birdwatching. It's... More

We booked the moorings at the last minute. It was recommended to us by the tourist info in Tarbert and we really enjoyed our stay, spotless modern rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Would recommend and hope to return to!

Coming From a young persons perspective The Moorings has been one of THE Coolest places I have stayed!!! The Moorings B&B was a very good recommendation we received from friends. We spent 3 nights in this place at room no. 3. Everything was perfect. The shower and the wash-bowl in the bedroom were new and Andrew the owner invested a lot in lighting equipment. Never seen something similar in a B&B. We very much enjoyed the full Scottish... More

The Moorings is outstanding for comfort, cleanness and food. No doubt there are other places in the area with very high standards - so what makes The Moorings stand out from the crowd? This was our second stay at Andrew's. Once again, the Moorings was the highlight of our holiday. The scenery in the Argyle Peninsular was breathtaking with fantastic... More
