My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay here and were made very welcome. Tarbert is a great little fishing village with lots of character and the Victoria Hotel was a great choice for our overnight stay. We arrived in the afternoon and enjoyed a wander along the quayside and a drink in one of the harbour side bars.... More

We spent a lovely 3 nights at this comfortable hotel in Tarbert. Pascal the charming french chef and his wife Jacquie ensured we had a lovely breakfast cooked to order each day, and the food in the restaurant was first class. Popular with the yachting community, this hotel is in the process of upgrading, and our room had a power... More

Had a great stay, warm welcome, the rooms have greatly improved since Pascal took over. Food was great as usual. Every thing is cooked to order so takes a little longer to arrive. We had front room overlooking harbour.

We are staying near Lochgilphead for the week while my husband is working down here. We arrived on the Sunday and travelled into Tarbert looking for somewhere to have dinner on the Sunday evening. Passing the Victoria on the way in looked lovely but thinking we shouldn't stop at the first place we see so carried on and tried two... More

Hello all Just popped into the Victoria hotel and was given good real coffee and toast with free high speed WIFI connection. Excellent service and hospitality. Very hard to find good wifi connection in this area so this find was a real bonus Liz

Check in is at the bar. You immediately get a comfortable, perhaps a little basic but friendly feel. Our stay in fact exceeded that. Our room overlooked the harbour and was very comfortable. The bed/linen was of a very good standard - a great sleep. The best part of our stay was the food. Food quality was extremely high. Some... More

Touring around Argyll/Loch Fyne we stopped overnight in Tarbert. My dad had dined in the hotel previously so we knew the food would be good. From the outside the hotel looks a bit like a pub and reception is at the hotel bar, but the recently refurbished rooms are first class. Our large double room overlooked the harbour and the... More

At the Victoria hotel we had the most disappointing meal of our week's stay in Tarbert. The menu looks good but that's as far as it goes. I opted for tarragon chicken which came in a runny sauce with all the vegetables underneath. Not nice. Why not serve them on a side dish? The dining area seemed grubby and the... More
