We came to stay to this wee hotel and were welcomed by Louise. Very warm welcome, friendly and helpful. We checked in, went to the room then freshen up and went down to the bar for a drink, then we went for a walk and stoped at the pub just next door house. We had 2 drinks and decided to have... More

We had a Night here after a very long and hot cycle rode from Glasgow-Arran-Tarbert. Our welcome from Louise was so friendly and accommodating especially in sorting out bikes, room and dinner! Our room(10) was lovely and spacious-extremely comfortable and modern. The food in the restaurant was also superb. Louise was on duty again the next morning-still friendly and cheerful.... More

Unfortunately, due to a booking error by Booking.com at another place, we ended up at this establishment. I will try to keep my comments unemotional. Stair carpet stained. Room grubby. Double room provided with one mug, very little sugar, dusty mirror; headboard; light bulbs. Faulty lighting in bathroom which they tried to fix twice to no avail so not a... More

This hotel is very well located, easy to do the Mull of Kintyre by car and north of Tarbert too. Our room was comfortable and clean, and small issues such as blown light globes and lack of hairdryer were fixed immediately. The breakfasts are lovely (try the porridge with honey and cream!) and the restaurant is the best in town... More

As a result of our numerous visits here over the last two years we booked for half of our wedding guests to stay at the Anchor Inn and we / they were not disappointed. All who stopped here were very complimentary about the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, condition of the hotel and the quality of the breakfast. We... More

Our second visit in under a year and we were given as warm a welcome as the last time. It's such a nice feeling when you visit a hotel and they treat you like one of the family. There is a new menu since our last visit and there is even more choice than before. It's nice that although it's... More

We would recommend the breakfast seriously we found it excellent. not the waitress however, not a smile or a thank you - just banged the coffee pot on the table. the room was well appointed, very good mattress, attention to detail was not there, lights not working for 4 days, oh and why are bath towels left on the bed?

We were greeted by... well, no-one actually. It took ages to find someone, notwithstanding I phoned the hotel whilst standing in Reception and we watched the phone while it rung. Our stay here felt entirely impersonal; if there was any management around, they kept their heads well down. That said, our clean, small bedroom with its delightful outlook was an... More

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday in April as I wanted a relaxing weekend away. He purchased the stay on groupon at a brilliant price! 2 night stay plus breakfast which consisted of a full scottish Breaky, cereals, yogurts juices coffees and tea. Cooked to order it was delicious! The room we stayed in over looked the harbour... More

The drive took us a long time but it was through beautiful scenery. The staff were very welcoming and our room on the first floor had a fantastic view over the harbour. We ate each night in the hotels restaurant as the food was so good. Our stay was in March this year and we had mixed weather but it... More
