We stayed here from Friday 12th to Monday 15th Sep +ve Nice seaview from room (9) except for the Yes flag on the ship across the road. Comfy bed and plenty tea and coffee. Great breakfast for fish (haddock was excellent) except for hard poached eggs, no sweetener on Sunday morning when asked and toast that wasn't toasted. Room was... More

We came into the Sea Bed for the early bird special menu and were not disappointed with the quality of the food. Browsing the a la carte menu, there was a very good selection of sea food and meat dishes which were very tempting. The staff were friendly and efficient too-a very pleasant meal.

Myself and 3 friends stayed for 2 nights. Accommodation was excellent. We eat in the restaurant both nights and it was excellent too. They ran out of local real ale which was a shame but partly our fault.

Not what you really expect in a small fishing village on the west coast of Scotland. This place can best be described as minimalist chic. Unfortunately, minimalism is not confined to the décor. The rooms too are decidedly minimal - and the bathroom gives a whole new meaning to compact and bijou. Having said that, it is very nicely appointed... More

Called into the lovely village of Tarbert en route to Campbeltown last Sunday. Stopped for lunch at the Anchor hotel. Beautiful stylish decor, excellent menu and great sea food. Brilliant service in a comfortable friendly atmosphere. Excellent harbourside location with easy parking outside.

We were allocated front rooms giving a wonderful view over the small but beautiful harbour. We ate in the restaurant and the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding and at the same time wholesome. Breakfasts were of a high standard as well. We stayed over two different nights and found the rooms very comfortable and the... More

My wife and I spent three night here. The bedrooms are exceptionally small and somewhat overpriced but very clean. The front rooms overlook the harbour and are worth the extra charge. Some reviewers have complained about outside noise but I have to say that we were not disturbed in any way The staff were very friendly and helpful. the wi-fi in... More

We booked 2 superior rooms for 2 nights. The service was wonderful. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout and were very accommodating about looking after our bikes. I don't think we were given the rooms I asked for but I do think we paid for them (My husband and I were in a family room - I had booked... More

Stayed in the anchor hotel while visiting the islands for day trips. My wife and I opted for the room with a sea view for an extra £10 and are happy we did so, I would recommend a sea view to everyone. We stayed 3 nights and loved our time here. We were checked in by James who helped us... More

Stayed here with 2 other friends in a triple room. Room was a good size, nice bathroom & comfy beds. Wi-fi reception was a bit erratic but that wasn't too much of a bother for us. We had a lovely harbour view too. Initially we were given a room without a harbour view & with one of the beds made... More
