We were allocated front rooms giving a wonderful view over the small but beautiful harbour. We ate in the restaurant and the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding and at the same time wholesome. Breakfasts were of a high standard as well. We stayed over two different nights and found the rooms very comfortable and the... More

My wife and I spent three night here. The bedrooms are exceptionally small and somewhat overpriced but very clean. The front rooms overlook the harbour and are worth the extra charge. Some reviewers have complained about outside noise but I have to say that we were not disturbed in any way The staff were very friendly and helpful. the wi-fi in... More

We booked 2 superior rooms for 2 nights. The service was wonderful. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout and were very accommodating about looking after our bikes. I don't think we were given the rooms I asked for but I do think we paid for them (My husband and I were in a family room - I had booked... More

Stayed in the anchor hotel while visiting the islands for day trips. My wife and I opted for the room with a sea view for an extra £10 and are happy we did so, I would recommend a sea view to everyone. We stayed 3 nights and loved our time here. We were checked in by James who helped us... More

Stayed here with 2 other friends in a triple room. Room was a good size, nice bathroom & comfy beds. Wi-fi reception was a bit erratic but that wasn't too much of a bother for us. We had a lovely harbour view too. Initially we were given a room without a harbour view & with one of the beds made... More

Although a bit taken aback by the very laid back welcome, our room was clean, comfortable and although small we couldn't believe it had been refurbished four years ago because it was still in great condition. The breakfast was very good the smoked haddock and poached egg highly recommended. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and were definitely... More

We came to stay to this wee hotel and were welcomed by Louise. Very warm welcome, friendly and helpful. We checked in, went to the room then freshen up and went down to the bar for a drink, then we went for a walk and stoped at the pub just next door house. We had 2 drinks and decided to have... More

We had a Night here after a very long and hot cycle rode from Glasgow-Arran-Tarbert. Our welcome from Louise was so friendly and accommodating especially in sorting out bikes, room and dinner! Our room(10) was lovely and spacious-extremely comfortable and modern. The food in the restaurant was also superb. Louise was on duty again the next morning-still friendly and cheerful.... More

Unfortunately, due to a booking error by Booking.com at another place, we ended up at this establishment. I will try to keep my comments unemotional. Stair carpet stained. Room grubby. Double room provided with one mug, very little sugar, dusty mirror; headboard; light bulbs. Faulty lighting in bathroom which they tried to fix twice to no avail so not a... More

This hotel is very well located, easy to do the Mull of Kintyre by car and north of Tarbert too. Our room was comfortable and clean, and small issues such as blown light globes and lack of hairdryer were fixed immediately. The breakfasts are lovely (try the porridge with honey and cream!) and the restaurant is the best in town... More
