My husband and I stayed in this hotel en route to Islay. We could not fault it from the welcoming bar with impressive stock of local whiskies and gin with Fentiman's tonic that is very important! to the delicious 3 course meal we had in the evening. The food was truly impressive prepared using locally sourced delicious produce. I loved... More

Everything here is done with care, and the place is run on a very personal level. stopped here for 2 nights on business, was really surprised and pleased, this is a smart and stylish hotel. Great food, had the Cock au vin, thought it might be old fashioned, I was convinced to try it by the lovely waitress, and it... More

A return visit and it's like staying with old friends everyone is so helpful and welcoming. The most dog friendly hotel I have stayed at - on entering our bedroom we had the usual complimentary teas, coffees and biscuits and Fly (our dog) had crossed Bonios on the dressing table what more could a dog ask for? It's these little... More

Stayed for just one night sadly, could have stayed longer. Lovely welcome on arrival and the welcome stayed for the whole stay. Friendly staff and a clean, comfortable room with a view over the loch equipped with everything we needed. Great to find a hotel so dog friendly too. The dining room is classy with a huge log fire and... More

The public rooms, the personal welcome, the friendly and positive service and, especially, the fantastically good restaurant are all extremely good reasons to stay at the West Loch Hotel, whether as an exploring base in the centre of the Argyll peninsula, or, like us, when sheltering from the 50knot WSW gales and waiting for the boat. There are comfortable, warm... More

We are truly humbled by this lovely review of the West Loch Hotel. Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. It's an enormous boost to the staff who work very hard to provide service that they would want when they are out and about either travelling and staying in hotels or out for a meal in a... More

This is a fantastic place to stay and eat, we were on our way to islay, the ferry was 5 minutes away. When you arrive here it is clear this is a family owned and run concern. There are personal touches everywhere, lovely flowers, nice art, comfortable places to sit, and nothing is to much trouble. We have fantastic loch... More

We sheltered here in the recent storm, we were made very welcome, especially by the lovely fire that was blazing. Very nice room, very clean and excellent bed. The food was the highlight, really tasty and well priced. Cant wait to return
