We stayed at this hotel three times, with our two dogs, in order to be near to the ferry terminal to Islay and Colonsay. Our stay was excellent on both occasions. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient, the rooms we used were very comfortable, particularly the beds and the breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful. Even though we... More

Stayed here while in Tarbert for work. Brilliant hotel, Friendly staff in a great part of the world. The weather wasn't up to much during my stay so didn't get to venture out much but it gives a great excuse to re-visit with my partner.

Ferry was cancelled to is islay so we had to find somewhere to stay this hotel was the closest so we tried. Wow we had no expectation except a bed for the night. Wow again, we were greeted at the door by a young man as if he was expecting us, shown to reception given a room offered a table... More

So friendly and relaxing, also stayed in trendier hotels in town but wasn't the same atmosphere. Friendly, good food and drink and beautiful views over the loch. Would stay here with a nice dander into town.

Two hours in the car to the ferry at Oban - another hour to go. Quick quack goes the annoying message alert on the mobile phone - quackers goes your brain as the text reads the ferry is cancelled due to adverse weather forecast. You look into the sky and see blue, the trees are not moving. Three dogs in... More

My husband walked into the bar and his mouth dropped! The bar was very well stocked with single malt scotches... The hotel is beautiful - our room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view of the Loch. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with area information. The restaurant was clean and the food excellent. The hotel is... More

I had not stayed at this hotel for over 2 years and was delighted to see that it has been refurbished. The restaurant area is really nice now with what looks like a lovely dinner menu. Not hungry, I just had a bowl of spicy leek and tomato soup with focaccia which was very good. I asked for water and... More

We stayed in this hotel a week ago, and I've been meaning to write a review ever since. The hotel itself is lovely, really well decorated and lots of nice touches. Food great as well - local and well cooked. My in-laws joined us for the evening and unfortunately my mother-in-law was taken ill as she arrived. At this point... More

We stayed at this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. It certainly did not disappoint. The bedroom was well appointed and clean, with a lovely view. The dining room overlooks the loch and the evening menu had a good range and was excellently cooked and presented. The staff were very friendly and eager to make our stay as comfortable as... More
