Vi stayed one night at Stonefield. Vi arrived late at night, ,The reception was closed but all the keys to the room where ready on the desk in a envelope. The rooms are nice. Breakfast is god standart (Buffet) and you can order dishes from the kitchen and join a gorgeous view from your breakfast table over the Loch Fyne.... More

For anyone that is looking for relaxation and to literally get away from it all, book up now for this wonderful hotel. My girlfriend and I came to Stonefield Castle for a 2 night break after a really difficult and busy year or 2. It just couldn't have ticked anymore boxes. On the approach to the hotel, you drive up... More

This trip was booked as a surprise by my Husband to celebrate my 50th Birthday. It was a wonderful surprise and we had a fabulous time in the Shabby Chic surroundings. Reception & Welcome We arrived later than expected (3.00pm) due to a major accident on the A83. This delayed us by about 7 hours. Nonetheless we still received a... More

I booked and emailed to ask for a room within the main castle but we were unable to be accommodated due to the castle being fully booked, although it never felt too busy over the weekend. The room in the extended wing was like a tired motel room at the side of the motorway, you could hear your neighbours talking... More

We booked the 2 nights romance package which included dinner, breakfast and champagne and chocolates in the room. It was wondeful, we will be back very soon. Food was out of this world, staff were very friendly and happy to help. Room was beautiful only wish we had a view of the loch rather the car park but you can't... More

just returned from an excellent overnight stay at Stonefield Castle . Just 5 minutes from Tarbert Loch Fyne. A warm welcome and tour of the hotel. Nice bedroom overlooking the Loch, worth the little extra room rate. Well stocked bar for all whiskey fans. Wonderful restaurant with views over the Loch and served first class food both in the evening... More

Booked through a 5pm deal. Fantastic value for money. Deal included bottle of wine in room and dinner on first night. Staff kindly allowed us to have our included bottle of wine with our dinner. Hotel & setting was stunning. Spectacular views. Some reviews stated that the hotel is a bit dated but it was exactly how we like it,... More

As you can see from the many photos, this place is a wonder to behold. The exterior is photogenic and the interior is grand, with tall ceilings, massive oil paintings and amazing antique furniture. The actual hotel rooms are nice enough, but not quite on a par with the rest of the building. The restaurant is very good, with wonderful... More

We have just returned from our second stay at Stonefield Castle, it really is a lovely place to stay, yes it's a wee bit tired in places but the location and staff are a delight in particular Anne the manager. Everything from the lounges, bar and the relaxed feel was just great, they also welcome dogs which is a bonus... More

We treated ourselves to a loch view room. The room was magnificent with a four poster bed. However, the mattress itself was extremely hard. The breakfast was made to order from a menu. We ate both nights in the bar. We found the service and food excellent except for the fish and chips. The batter was to hard. The staff... More
