We stayed at Dunivaig for one night. A lovely old house with wonderful views of Loch Fyne. Our hostess was wonderfully helpful and welcomed us warmly. We had a spacious and comfortable room with a fantastic seaview. The breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable.

Having been stranded on the mainland thanks to a broken down ferry we were offered 1 night's accommodation at the Dunivaig before an alternative ferry to Islay. What a piece of luck! We were given an amazing, octagonal, wood panelled room overlooking the water, complete with lovely furry bathrobes in which to take the few steps across the hall the... More

I am always a little mindful of reviews because they are motivated by people who are at the extremes of love and hate. I felt compelled to write about this wonderful guest house and the angel that is Louise who runs the place with her husband Pete. Why? 1. After 100 miles cycling, we were tired and fractious, yet Louise... More

Can't say too much about this place as we got there real late and had to leave at 6am. Louise was very nice and had no issues waiting up for us. She packed us a breakfast bag to take in the morning. Lovely property with outstanding views. Wish we could have had more time to enjoy this place. Rooms were... More

My friends and I spent 2 nights here, and we loved it ! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in a nice place for a very good price if they are planning to take the ferry for a visit to the islands.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review of our small family run B & B. It was great hosting all of you from France, you were all so quiet we hardly know you were here. We often host guests travelling to and from Islay, Arran or Gigha. There is so much to explore from our pretty fishing village, including... More

My wife and I spent two nights at Dunivaig and we really would recommend a visit. The room was comfortable and cosy, the views of loch fyne are stunning and the owners extremely friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed at Dunivaig B&B for one night after cycling up from Troon, via Arran with 2 friends. Met Louise on the way to the B&B and she told us the front door was open and to go right in. A lovely old house with wonderful views of Loch Fyne and clean and comfy beds. Best of all was the delicious... More

Five soggy cyclists left the following day well fed and with dry clothes. Couldn't ask for more, but more was provided - Peter & Louise let us leave our luggage to make the circuit of Knapdale a little less daunting.

Having stayed at Dunyvaig twice last year while going to/from Islay, I have to admit that it's my favourite place to stay in Argyll. The baronial style of the house provides much character and the rooms are lovely: stunning views of the ocean, very comfortable beds, and overall very clean. Louise and Peter are warm and friendly, taking the time... More

Our host was wonderfully helpful and welcoming with a friendly nature. Our room had spectacular views; waking up to look out over the water was just extremely memorable. Recommend the local kippers for breakfast followed by a great selection of fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts. Perfect. Thanks to our host, she should be incredibly proud of her hard work.
