I work away from home and for the last six months I have stayed here during the week. What a find......Josie and George are friendly and very helpful, making my stay exceptionally pleasant. I thoroughly recommend The Laurels and doubt whether I will ever find another B&B like this. They go above and beyond what you would normally find -... More

We have not stayed anywhere more welcoming and at a very reasonable price. It was our second visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Josie and George. They provided a fabulous evening meal which was excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. A spacious sitting room was made available for us where we were offered tea and home made cakes.... Josie and her husband were very nice people and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were however very small and the beds a little hard. Breakfast was very nice and lots of tea and coffee in your room.

The hosts are excellent, affording a warm welcome and a tasty freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we all felt completely at home there. The rooms are nicely furnished but on the small side. My wife and I shared a room and my daughter was on an air bed on the floor... More

What a wonderful welcome we got from Josie & George! My 1st visit here at this very lovely B&B with a friend and we immediately felt at home by Josie & George's warm smile & kindness. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was perfect. The rooms are very well equiped, very welcoming, cosy & comfy, ample refreshments, digital TV,... More

Stayed last night with a friend and we were both impresses by the fantastic service we received. On arrival, we were offered tea and cake and due to the wet weather, Josie offered to take us to the local pub and pick us up later once we had finished our meal. Wow! how often can you say that a B@B... More

We went to a course locally and hadn't tried a B&B for sometime. Josie the proprietress was so kind, nothing was ever any trouble. The lodging was comfortable and cosy and the surroundings were beautiful. Breakfast was enormous but Josie was quite happy to accommodate what we preferred, which was less. What we did have was very nice , all... More

We stayed for two nights. We couldn't have been made more welcome after our long drive. The room was set apart from the main house and was private, spacious, well equipped and quiet, the food was great and Josie is the perfect host. We would both be happy to return and recommend the Laurels to our friends and colleagues.

We had a fabulous couple of days at the Laurels during the Christmas holidays. Despite being busy, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great; even with catering for special diets. We will certainly be returning for another dose of Josie and George's hospitality!
