We have not stayed anywhere more welcoming and at a very reasonable price. It was our second visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Josie and George. Josie and her husband were very nice people and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were however very small and the beds a little hard. Breakfast was very nice and lots of tea and coffee in your room.

The hosts are excellent, affording a warm welcome and a tasty freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we all felt completely at home there. Stayed last night with a friend and we were both impresses by the fantastic service we received. If you truly want value for money, a comfortable nights sleep and a good hearty breakfast then stay at The Laurels. We stayed for two nights.We couldn't have been made more welcome after our long drive. The room was set apart from the main house and was private, spacious, well equipped and quiet, the food was great and Josie is the perfect host. We would both be happy to return and recommend the Laurels to our friends and colleagues.

We had a fabulous couple of days at the Laurels during the Christmas holidays. Despite being busy, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was great; even with catering for special diets. We will certainly be returning for another dose of Josie and George's hospitality!
