We Stayed overnight on a Saturday in June 2015. Not the easiest place to find because of its location on the high street that is pedestrianised in the middle. We drove three times round the ring road before finding the entrance to the Upper High Street where the hotel is located. Car park is on a back street two left... More

Stayed at the Talbot for one night for a christening in Stourbridge. This is a very old building filled with character. If you are looking for your standard premier inn/ travelodge rooms then this is not for you. If you like old world charm with friendly staff and service then you won't go wrong with this hotel. Yes as in... More

On a Tuesday evening in Stourbridge you may, like us, find this is the only place open for dinner! It didn't look too good, a bit dated and shabby, but we had steak off the specials board, rib eye for £15, and it was really good. It's really a 3 star place, it's old, yes, but maybe that's part of... More

We booked two rooms at this hotel for myself and my husband and my parents, check in is from 2pm, and even though we were there earlier, there was no movement, we had to come back at 2pm. There is free parking at the hotel, just remember to leave your details at reception or there is a fine. On first... More

Just one night here in this quirky old inn set in the town centre. Check in was ok but hardly welcoming and I was allocated a room about as far from reception as it's possible to get. I was in a twin bedded room which was ok, but a little meagre on the hospitality tray. I ate in the bar... More

If you're looking for a pristine, contemporary hotel, I would suggest you look elsewhere. If however you want something a little more 'old world charm' then this hotel is for you. The building is old, the floors are uneven and it took 20 minutes to work out how to get the ideal temperature on the shower but this all added... More

We went to this place on 31st May for a carvery lunch. The meal was not too bad but I have had better. The main gripe is the incompetent staff. None of them are English and some speak broken English. There is a sigh on the car park at the rear informing Guests to give their car registration number to... More

Further to your comment i would like to add that there is a mixture of english and non english employees all of which speak perfect english. As far as your fine is concerned and was explained as you gave an incorrect number or letter from your car registration therefore it was not registered correctly on our system however as was... Just returned from a weekend at an event here and it's great. People need to remember that parts of the hotel are from the 15th century and that adds to the charm. You can almost hear the hooves of the horse carriages that brought business men to what used to be the inn 600 years ago. Shaun and his family... More

beams and crooked door frames and old rippled glass and sloping floors wainscoting, but plenty of hot water in the immaculate bathroom and fluffy towels and great cooked breakfast, absolute best of both worlds.
