We stopped overnight at The Stable after our night out on New Year's Eve. This is a superb accommodation with top quality and tasteful fittings. Mick and Linda were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is much bigger than it looks from the outside with everything you need for a cosy, warm and relaxing stay. The bed... My wife and I were at The Barn 8-22 May 2011. It's an absolutely perfect choice for reasonably active folks (we're late 60s) who want self-catering and a most comfortable and private place to stay. Once you get sufficient groceries for a day or two, you'll feel like you live in England. We take public transport (X96 bus is close... More

My wife and I stayed at The Barn for 2 weeks in July 2010, and would certainly recommend staying here if you need good self contained accommodation in the West Midlands. The cottage(a converted barn) is a quirky but comfortable place to stay.Being fully self contained everything is supplied , there is even an old jukebox filled with 45's free... More

My wife and I have lodged at The Barn in both 2009 (1 week) and 2010 (2 weeks). It's a great choice for active folks (we're late 60s) who want to make their own breakfast or other meals and don't mind walking to a nearby bus stop to start their day's journey. Owner Linda met us at the train station... More

Visiting friends in the West Midlands I wanted self catering accomodation in a peaceful location but close enough for the attractions this part of the country offered. Within easy reach of the M5 we were able to travel north to manchester and east into mid wales easily. The accomodation was amazing! A barn conversion, aptly named the cow shed. is... More

I booked The Barn for a week for my parents, they having retired to Cyprus some years ago and not having a house big enough to accommodate them. All of us were delighted with what we found there, and were particularly pleased that though built on two levels, there was a downstairs bedroom which made things easier for my elderly... More

Having stayed at "The Barn" on a number of occasions I would like to recommend it as a great self-catering place to stay. Tucked away in a semi-rural location in Stourton, The Barn is an excellent base to stay for exploring the area. It has a charm all of it's own being fitted out by the owners Mick and Linda... More
