Ian and Betsy really made us feel welcome - the room was wonderful. Very comfortable and clean, with some of the chapel's original features incorporated. Fantastic cake on arrival and wonderful breakfasts. Highly recommended

We stayed at Bottom Chapel so as to attend a function next door at the village hall. This is a beautifully converted chapel, our room was the large double which was spacious, well equipped and just out of this world, two beautiful feature arch windows – fantastic! We were made very welcome, given the guided tour on arrival, there is... More

This is my second trip to Askrigg, my first at Chapel Bottom. The place was recommended by another full up B&B in the village. This was a beautifully converted chapel with three en-suite rooms. Ian & Betsy (the owners) were warm and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Our spotless large room was comfortable and had two amazing stained... More

We stayed here to attend a friend's wedding reception in nearby Bainbridge. Bottom Chapel was perfect for our group as we had exclusive use of the B&B, taking over all three guest rooms. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and peaceful. Our hosts, Betsy and Ian, were very welcoming and accommodating - allowing us to eat breakfast slightly later, use... More

Stayed here for one night the last week in June. Ian was on his own but made us feel really welcome. I dont really want to "gush" too much about this place as I dont want too many people knowing how lovely it is. We had a dog with us but still nothing was too much trouble. The conversion has... It was an honour to stay at Betsy and Ian's wonderful B&B. The room was spacious (plenty of room for your own things) in a really great chapel conversion. It was very interesting and the breakast served downstairs (via a wonderful staircase) was cooked to order. We found both Betsy and Ian very friendly and helpful during our stay and... More

I'm the editor of a glossy, lifestyle magazine, and Bottom Chapel is one of the few B&Bs that I have considered of high enough quality to feature in our publication. With friends, we stayed at Bottom Chapel last Summer. It is, without doubt, one of the prettiest, cleanest, most welcoming B&Bs we have ever stayed in. The owners have thoughtfully... More

We recently stayed at the Bottom Chapel. The B&B is a lovely converted church in the Yorkshire Village of Askrigg. We stayed in the main double bedroom, which was big and very comfortable. It had to beautiful stain glass church windows and a spotless on suit. I was impressed that the room came with a hairdryer, as this is a... More

We stayed here on the second leg of my wife's birthday weekend for 2 nights and we had an excellent stay with an extremely warm welcome. The rooms have stained glass since this was originally Askrigg's Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. It's very well appointed inside and there's an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, and it's not the owener's fault, but there is only... More
