Stayed with large group of 15 here and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Facilities and rooms good and the food is superb. Great location. Would recommend....you will go away a few pounds heavier even if you are walking the Wall each day.

The location of the farm, so close to Steel Rigg makes its setting for walkers and those seeking to explore the area perfect. The staff and management were superb and genuinely nice people only to happy to help. The rooms were comfortable and the food was great. Happy to stay here again

A very comfortable stay. The owners were very kind and always happy to help. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi (free) was only available in the bar area and a little slow. Yes, there is a bar with an excellent wine menu (few choices but good ones), a few beers (generic) on tap and local craft bottled beers.... More

We (my sister, her husband and I) spent one night at Saughy Rigg Farm as part of our overnight accommodation on our Hadrian's Wall walk. Sean, the owner, picked us up at Steel Rigg carpark after a long walk, drove us to the farm, carried our luggage upstairs, got us a drink, took our orders for tea and looked after... More

As six families we took over this b&b for a week over Easter and fell in love with Northumberland. The farm house is isolated but you can go for a walk from the door which we did each day visiting Hadrian 's Wall which you can see from the house. The beds were comfortable and lounge homely. It suited our... More

This is a remote farmhouse in Northumberland and we stayed there on the second night of our walk on Hadrian's Wall. Sean picked us up and could not have been more obliging. The farmhouse has obviously been extended so there are several bedrooms - I think they are all en suite. My bed was very comfortable and the downstairs areas... More

A remote B&B but nothing was too much trouble for Sean. Picked us up from Steel Rigg back to a welcome cup of tea and cake - most welcome after the walk. Our meal was in a local pub which he took us to and then collected when we were finished. Breakfast was delicious along with a substantial packed lunch.... More

My party of four "ramblers" and I had such a great time here last summer, my husband and I are going back this summer. We had a miserably rainy slog the day before arriving but as soon as we arrived we were warmly greeted and sent right to our rooms where our bags were waiting for us. The company that... More

The owner Sean picked up our party of 5 from Housesteads and brought us back to a welcome pot of tea and big soft sofas to relax on. The B&B is in a remote location near to Hadrian's Wall which was perfect for our walking holiday. We had a delicious evening meal and spent a great evening with drinks from... More

Sean's an absolute gem! He picked us up from Housesteads and dropped us off next morning at Steel Rigg, along with some other guests. We were greeted with a welcome cup of tea then shown to our bedroom which was comfortable and cosy and the freely available drying room was well used. The evening meal was superb and we couldn't...
