The owner Sean picked up our party of 5 from Housesteads and brought us back to a welcome pot of tea and big soft sofas to relax on. The B&B is in a remote location near to Hadrian's Wall which was perfect for our walking holiday. We had a delicious evening meal and spent a great evening with drinks from... More

Sean's an absolute gem! He picked us up from Housesteads and dropped us off next morning at Steel Rigg, along with some other guests. We were greeted with a welcome cup of tea then shown to our bedroom which was comfortable and cosy and the freely available drying room was well used. The evening meal was superb and we couldn't... Stayed here for two nights while walking Hadrian's Wall path. Sean who runs the place came and picked us up from Chollerford and dropped us back in the morning and one evening dropped us at the nearby pub. The first night we had an evening meal that was delicious and had some nice local beer behind the bar. The room... More

very close to the Hadrian wall path, this B&B is a great surprise. Nice room, good mattress, nice shower and friendly. Sean came to pick us up at the car parking is Steelrigg and always have a smile on his face. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Great choice!

We were a party of 3 couples, a baby and a Jack Russell terrier. We stayed at Saughy Rigg for one night 15th September. This is an ideal location to stay while walking the wall, you just get off the route at Steel Rigg and Saughy Rigg is about 1 mile down the road. We dined in the Saughy Rigg... More

Stayed here when walking Hadrian's Wall. Located 5 minutes drive away from the traffic streams in a quiet, rural valley. A restaurant, lounge, bar and comfortable rooms. This is an ideal place for corporate retreats as well as travelling couples or families. The rooms are compact but well appointed. Beds lush and comfortble. Evening meals are offered and are excellent.... More

Great service and comfortable room, we stayed her (3 adults and 2 dogs) on the 2nd night of our 4 day trek along the wall, and found our room to be cosy and comfortable, excellent evening meal and breakfast, with very friendly service! A definite thumbs up

I was really impressed withy stay at the farm. Although it's slightly of the beaten track (for walkers of Hadrians Wall) the location is beautiful. The restaurant and bar are well done out and modern. The food both for the evening meal and breakfast was superb. The room was bright and spacious. It was great to find working wifi in... More

Great service! Picked us up at Housesteads and dropped us off at Vindolanda Museum. Asked us to call him when we were done. The room at the Farm was large and comfy with a 4 poster bed! He drove us Twice Brewed Inn and for dinner and then picked us up again! We had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a walk along Hadrians wall enabling us to get the AD bus on the second day and walk back with the wind behind us. Its a great place to stay. Shaun is so lovely, went out of his way to be helpful and give lifts to and from the farm. it was just... More
