Fantastic B&B in a great location. The staff are wonderful and really can't do enough for you. Family run business with superb food, drink and service. Nice rooms, great views, just the place after a long days walking.

We stayed here one night while walking Hadrian's Wall. The hosts picked us up from Vindolanda which was appreciated, although the B&B is not that far from Steel Rigg and mostly downhill. The room was a good size, with a small ensuite bathroom, but the shower had good water pressure. The bed was comfortable, and as the property is on... More

What a delight it was to stay here. Great to see the eco features - solar panels and the biomass boiler. Walkers/cyclists book early to avoid disappointment. Tea on arrival, clean comfy rooms, really excellent food, and transport to and from trails by Sian if required. Great place to meet and chat with fellow walkers and cyclists.

You can't go wrong in this place. ... amazing hosting and the warmest welcome from the owners. .. collected us from the path and had a buffet waiting even though it was late. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Very good restaurant. Comfortable large lounge. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. Good selection of local bottled beers. I'm sure we'd have been offered a lift for the mile or so back to Hadrian's Wall but we didn't like to bother the hosts.

All compliments really. Fetched from, and returned to Hadrian's wall. Comfortable seating area for guests. Very helpful hosts and friendly staff serving meals. Excellent fresh food for dinner - and lots of choice and extra bits at breakfast. Room was a bit small and ditto bathroom, but it was fine.

Hard to rate this place because the owner couldn't do enough for you, from picking us up from the path, taking us out to the roman museum and to the pub and then down to the wall again two days later. The guy couldn't do enough for you despite being very busy. The evening meal was also very good indeed.... More

Ideally situated for Hadrian's Wall and the Pennine Way long distance paths. The hosts a very helpful and friendly. They willingly collect walkers from the nearby routes and return them the following morning. The rooms are good and there is a large lounge with wide screen TV. Food in the restaurant is from a limited menu but with just enough... More

Fantastic location, really enjoyed our stay and could have talked to our host Sean all night... Lovely huge four poster and friendly service... More vegetarian options would have been good but no complaints just compliments!

Very enjoyable stay, nothing was too much trouble, food excellent and very good value for money, ideal for Hadrian's Wall, would not hesitate to recommend, quite isolated for some but not for us, may need a SatNav to find it although our AA route planner got us there!
