This place was amazing! Bed was incredibly comfortable, room was Huge, we had our own balcony plus a shared balcony, the bathroom had a claw foot tub and a shower with great water pressure.... Absolutely wonderful! Christine is fabulous, very helpful in regards not only to where to eat but also travel in the area and what to see. The... More

Simply just a very nice place to stay. Can't criticise anything (except perhaps wifi slow in my room). Rooms nice, huge choice and good breakfast. Also owners very helpful and knowledgeable - set us up for the walk we wanted to do and places to visit on Hadrian's Wall. Easy parking. Convenient for the Wall. Would happily go back.

Very pleasant place to stay...has a smart and professional vibe with nice owners, cosy and clean rooms which contain everything you need and a good breakfast. I stayed here alone while on business and managed to squeeze in a stroll along Hadrian's Wall after work as it was so close. Great all round B&B!

My daughter and I were made to feel at home by Christine from the minute we walked into Ashcroft Guest House! She went over all the details and amenities with us and even called to see if we could get a table for dinner at a local pub. We stayed in a two-bedroom suite and it was very spacious, clean... More

We stayed for two nights and what a treat. Our room was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Geoff and Christine are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Geoff gave us a lift to Housesteads because the bus wasn't running and we had our own tour guide. He told us so much about the area we were going to.... More

This may be the best B&B I have experienced. Usually, I shoot for 50 pounds and in the country or small town so this was about double my target, yet the experience was well worth every pence. The gardens are amazing with Jeff trimming and pruning all the while we were staying - it is quintessential England! The grounds are... More

My husband and I stayed here last week, we are from Calgary, Canada and were visiting family in the area. Geoff and Christine are the warmest and most welcoming people. We had a lovely room and the food was beyond excellent, so much selection and beautifully cooked. The house and grounds are amazing and the location right in the middle... More

I stayed with Geoff and Christine for 2 nights, and they were so welcoming and helpful. The house and rooms are just wonderful - beautifully decorated with every comfort. Very pretty gardens with views rights across the valley. Delicious breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Highly recommended!

We spent one night at this fantastic B & B. Had a lovely large two bedroom bedroom suite. The owner was very gracious and took lots of time answering all our questions. She gave us great nformation about Hadrian's Wall. The breakfast was wonderful with fresh baked croissants.

I have stayed at lots of B&Bs in UK and America. Hands down, this is the best. Such hospitality is rarely seen. My friend (who works in the hospitality business) and I were warmly welcomed with every question or need anticipated. Beautiful setting, beautiful gardens, and great breakfast. So glad we decided to stop in Haltwhistle and Ashcroft Guest House.... More
