We had lunch here on our way from Newcastle to Glasgow. Haltwhistle was a nice village just off the A69. Friendly staff provided proper English lunch with great homemade chips in authentic pub surroundings. Would visit again.

Having stayed in Haltwhistle several times, the Manor House always pasted us by, boy what have we been missing. The staff are friendly and Sheridan made us feel welcome, the Sunday lunch was excellent and despite it being busy when we called we were looked after and made to feel like we were the only people in the place We... looking for somewhere to have lunch and turned into Haltwhistle and happened on this wonderful place. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the surroundings were pleasant. The Yorkshire Pudding served with mashed potatoes and Cumberland Sausages in it and gravy poured over it was delicious and looked as good as it tasted. Will definitely be back here!!

Looking for somewhere to eat lunch in Haltwhistle we came across this place. First impressions, nice and clean, modern looking, somewhere nice to have lunch. We were greeted by a barlady who took or drinks orders. There were two blackboard as menus, I felt a bit awful looking at one of them as there was a couple eating right underneath... More

Went in the for the first time since the new owner took over. The place was lifeless. The barmaid firstly went on to tell us that the chef had a hangover and she knew no prices of the drinks. We sat down and literally within 3 minutes were asked if we (myself and 2 other family members) had decided on... More

We visited the newly refurbished Manor for a family birthday meal on a Saturday night. The service was quick and friendly, the decor is great and the place looked so much bigger and brighter than it did before. We all ordered mains and each went down well. The steaks looked amazing and we're enjoyed by three of us, whilst I... More

Having now read the reviews, my thoughts are that the Manor House Inn is clean, comfortable and accommodating. Safe storage for the bikes. The fresh pizza was really good and the salad nicely laid out. Staff couldn't be more helpful. A good stopover for cycling.

I was after escaping some where, to walk a bit of the Wall and this place cropped up. £ 35 a night ! The room was lovely. ( I stayed for 3 nights in the end!! ) The staff were wanderful, ( thank you Shelly for returning the book and bits I'd left on the bar on the last evening.)... More
