Built around the 1920s contains many original features. The bedroom was comfortable but there was no door on the bathroom, just a curtain across. The room had a double bed and 2 extra bunks, this would accommodate a family easily. One problem was there was only one bedside table. Close to Holbeach town centre but that town appears to have... Stayed on the 12th July for a wedding and it was no trouble getting back late as we were given a key on booking in,the building is absolutely gorgeous inside, quite stately, the bed was so comfortable and the room was lovely. Got to know the owners only in the morning but it was like meeting old friends and the... More

Thank goodness it was the building that you described as stately, we're getting on abit but not quite stately yet! Thank you for a lovely review, trust your journey back to the beautiful Brecons went well despite the M6/A14. More

A friendly welcome led us into a spotless house of great character. We arrived late so didn't use the living room, but were invited to do so. The bedroom was airy, spacious and comfortable, and beautifully clean. On a warm night the quality summer weight duvets were perfect. The shower wasn't the most powerful but the temperature was constant and... More

Stayed here for one night on 19th June. What a stunning property, we had a lovely room that could accommodate four people (although we were just two). Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Gill and Norman were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was beautifully prepared by Norman and Gill ensured we had everything... More

We travelled from Kent to stay only the one night due to attending a family wedding. The door opened and the welcome was immediately warm and inviting. The hotel itself is an amazing building and the family photos on the dresser on the stairs made it feel like home and not just a resting place. Breakfast was lovely and again... More

A really nice place where nothing was too much trouble. Plus I got an excellent breakfast even though I turned up after it was supposed to be over! Thank you, I am really glad I found this place at fairly late notice - it made the wedding I was attending locally so much better as I didn't have to worry... More

Fantastic building with beautifully apportioned rooms. I stayed in the family room although it was just me staying. Plenty of room, with a real fridge so I could keep my coke cold! Sky Tv in the rooms as well as the lounge... I didn't want to come home! I will be staying in the area frequently so will definitely stop... More

I stayed only the one night but would happily have spent longer. Holbeach itself seemed a bit run down. However, Elloe Lodge is located in a very pleasant part and is very quiet. The Lodge itself is beautifully clean and well looked after. The large sitting area is a real asset, too often there is nowhere to relax in a... More

We just stayed there on Saturday night 19/4/14 - we cycled there and the owners have secure storage where you can leave your bikes. We stayed in the family room for 5 people which has good sized bunk-beds and a sofa bed which was perfect for our 9-year old (but would be more tricky for someone who was taller). The... More

The Family room sofa bed is for a child only and does impinge on the overall floor space when used. However it does allow the flexibility for an additional child when necessary. We are directly on a national cycle route (Harwich to Hull) and regularly receive cycling families who often prefer to have everyone in the same room, especially if... More
