We stayed one night as we were attending a family party. Only us and my brother's family in the hotel. Lovely room and very good breakfast. The owners were very friendly. We will all definitely stay again

Stayed one night. Dreadful. Saw no one, yes no one, not at check in, check out or any point in between. Would have liked to change room, ours had the shower in the bedroom! Would have liked breakfast, couldn't ask as there wasn't anyone about. Never stayed anywhere that ignores its guests quite so badly. Had to get a key... More

We spent a very pleasant night at the Mansion House Hotel in Holbeach and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending to others. The room we were allocated was on the very top floor of the hotel; however, we thought it was really cosy and perfectly comfortable. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the bedding: the sheets smelt... More

Came as a group of three couples needing accomation for a friends wedding. When booking the very helpful owners explained that whilst cottage slept 6 it would not be comfortable for 3 couples but that they could accomadate us all by providing a room next to cottage. This ended up being a perfect solution for the occasion, the cottage had... More

I had a very comfortable night at the Mansion House Hotel, staying in one of the cottages at the rear of the main hotel. The owner, Richard Rickerby,is a very welcoming and helpful man and I was made to feel immediately at home. The room was warm, clean and comfortable, with an ensuite toilet and shower. The hotel itself is... More

Thank you for a lovely welcoming stay. Bent over backwards to make us feel welcome at very short notice, breaking off their day out to rush back and let us in. Comfortable, beautifully decorated en-suite room, with copious coffee/tea etc. Breakfast - plenty of choice of cereals, yoghurts, toast etc. We enjoyed a full English (with proper sausages) - just... We stayed here whilst visiting family in the area and although we were only staying the one night we were made to feel welcome and right at home. The price for the two rooms was very reasonable, we were plesantly surprised by the character of the building and how amazing the rooms were given the cost, one of our rooms... More

Stayed a night in the lodge for one night. The lodges were well finished, comfortable and clean. I grew up in the town and asked the owner to cook some of the local sausages for breakfast which he duly did. The owner is a local business entrepreneur striving to deliver some quality to Holbeach..give him some support. If there's better accommodation... More

We stayed overnight for a family wedding. The service was friendly and our cottage was spacious. Breakfast in the morning was good (three of us were vegetarian and we were well looked after). This is a small family run place and if you prefer the exactness of a Travelodge, this may not be for you - the toliet seat was... More
