Can't say enough good things about this place. Visited the Boat Inn today with my family. Partner had been there previously, so took me and our daughter today. Very friendly staff, good service and the food is totally immense. Huge portions and, considering this and the overall standard of service, friendliness and excellent food, the price was more than acceptable.... More

Called in on way home wish we had not wasted our money. It was not very good at all although I suspect some people will say different because it seems they have lots of good reviews. Well iam glad because every one has their own opinions and we just did not enjoy anything about this place. Food seemed to be... More

Recently stayed at a nearby B&B and had the delight of eating at this establishment for 3 nights in a row. Emma, the landlady is a genuinely nice person as are the staff, nothing was ever too much trouble. Great location on the edge of the River Wye. Finally, the food! Probably the best steaks we have ever had, particularly... More

The portions are HUGE and the food is absolutely amazing! by far the best meal we've had in a long time.... We called in hoping to get something to eat after travelling up from wales to a race meeting, there were 6 adults and 1 15 month old baby. They fitted us in no problem at all at 7pm on... More

WE were encouraged by the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, this used to be one of our favourites' it did serve very good food but nosedived in quality when it changed hands about 3 years ago ,we had not been back until last week ,we ordered a sirloin steak and fish pie ,the steak didn't look right, the middle was missing, as... This place should be fantastic - amazing location next to the river in a beautiful part of Herefordshire. Instead, this place is absolutely appalling. The staff are friendly enough but the food quality was absolutely terrible and completely overpriced. The whole establishment needs completely gutting and redecorating to bring it back to life.

Not been here for about 4 years & had a few owners since then . Went here for my sons birthday 8 of us busy with people eating bit concerned that the steaks had no size on menu but heard people say they were large. There was large rump , then fillet then sirloin with no large etc. Most went... More

Called in to The Boat Inn as we had a couple of hours to kill and wanted a meal. The bar man was lovely and welcoming. Nicest I've met for a long time. The food was amazing. I had sirloin steak medium cooked which couldn't have been cooked better plus it was huge. Delicious home cooked chips, and lovely presentation.... More

Having moved away from this area sometime ago. Met my parents here pre Christmas, one Sunday Lunchtime. Because I had a long way to drive , only wanted a snack, or as it turned out just a starter, my Dad had the Sunday Roast. The battered Brie starter ,my Mom and I ordered, was first and foremost, delicious, secondly a... More

A great choice of food not just roast, you can order of the main menu if you so wish which unusual on a Sunday.
