We stayed 2 nights in the Bramley room. The facilities were excellent and the private sitting room is a real bonus. We received a very warm and genuine welcome and this feeling continued during our stay. The breakfast is first-class with a good selection that includes local and home-made produce. The location cannot be faulted with its easy access to... More

It's good to read that you enjoyed your stay & may be back. Hilary thoroughly enjoys the cooking side of Bed & Breakfast and that is why there is a choice of some eight main courses. Full details are on the Appletree Cottage web site. Best wishes Stuart More

My wife and I stayed for three nights in the Bramley Room of this really nice B&B. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was excellent, very well furnished and supplied and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Ideally situated for both the town itself and the South West Coast Path. This reinforced our own long held... More

Thank you for writing such a kind review. The Bramley room with its own private sitting room is very popular. It provides a base for those who don't necessarily want to be out and about all day and also if it wet it has a TV with DVD & plenty of books. We would thoroughly recommend to you the running... Arriving tired from a days walk, Hilary greeted us and showed us to a very comfortable room and made us tea. What a lovely welcome. So much thought in providing for all tastes on the breakfast menu with... More

I drove down from Scotland in late January for a two nights stay, in connection with family business in Budeigh Salterton. Hilary made me very welcome in her lovely quaint and homely cottage, she served a great breakfast and even supplied me sandwiches for the road back to Scotland.

Apple Tree Cottage is a perfect B&B in a beautiful place. It isn't full of plastic flowers and fussy furniture - it's homely and friendly, has good beds and excellent bathrooms, lovely views and a pot of cyclamens on ones bedroom table. Hilary, the owner, brings tea and cake in the afternoon, and serves delicious breakfasts - fruit and muesli... More

I recently spent 4 nights at this charming bed and breakfast in the heart of Budleigh Salterton.
