What a lovely place. The food was excellent, the value was amazing (106 euros for half board), free parking, BBC1 and BBC2 and Cbeebies, friendly and helpful staff, 5 minutes walk to the old town and ten minutes walk to the new town. The bus service to San Sebastian is every hour, costs 2.35 euros and takes 20 minutes. The... More

Once you actually find the hotel - it's worth the trip! Armed with maps and driving directions, supplied by the hotel, we still managed to get lost. the Jaizkibel is situated in a quiet residential area surrounded by apartment buildings. Not everybody's cup of tea, but at least convenient, being 10 minutes walk from the town centre of Hondarribia. From... More

A lovely property, a beautiful room with lots of space, interesting design, and comfort. Best of all was the lovely receptionist Maider, who welcomed us warmly, provided lots of great information abou the town, and went out of her way the morning we checked out to give us good advice about how best to travel to San Sebastián, given the... Located in a residential area with a lovely garden and parking. Rooms are decorated simply but are comfortable and have all the amenities needed. Wake up call was on time. Check in and out were efficient and the staff could not have been friendlier. The Sunday menu thou limited was excellent and our dinner the next evening was also very... More

Autumn in Hondarribia is absolutely amazing. Beautiful colours and wonderful weather. Jaizkibel, the name of a mountain, is a wonderful hotel which enabled us to rest for five days. We went for long walks and found a great room at our return. Not very big, but nicely decorated and a proper bathroom with all the amenities. The bed was comfortable... More

We chose this based on the reviews here and were very happy with it. We were just passing through for a night and it gave us friendly helpful service comfortable rooms and if you were driving which we weren't a place to park. It is about five minutes or so walk to both the old town and to the bars... More

On the whole this hotel is very comfortable. Roof access is a nice addition to the comfort of the hotel. And both old and new towns of Hondarribia are less than a 10 minute walk. I loved the town but am glad that we chose to stay just outside. Parking is another benefit although one has to pay for it.... More

We loved our stay here on a hill above the city, walking distance to town. The hotel is lovely with nice amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet is generous (though not included in room rate). They emailed us in advance to warn us of a wedding going on one night during our stay and offered a free bottle of champagne... More

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in mid-September 2014. It is very well run, very clean with fine service and very fine food. The dinner is modestly priced for the high quality cuisine and service. The dining room and bar are nicely decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is very well located for touring the Basque coast from... More

This hotel is just outside the town of Hondarribia, itself a 10 Euro taxi ride from Irun train sation. Hondarribia is a lovely, old, walled town and is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Far better to stay here than in Irun. Lots of restaurants in the town. The hotel is quiet, well run and a genuine 4 star... More
