We really enjoyed our stay! The town and room so was quiet, it was the best nights sleep of our trip! Newly remodeled and very clean. So relaxing! Breakfast was fantastic and the owner so friendly and open. We highly recommend!!!

This very old hotel was left to the owner by her grandfather. The owner speaks good English as well as other lanuages. She has had to do a lot of renovation to bring it up to standard. As a result it has old world charm with some modern features. It is in an old small village with local character. The rooms... More

This B&B is a calm trip to the remote past. Graca, the owner of Passado de Pedra takes you through a journey centuries ago, with clear evidence on stones, streets, writings and her findings. The place is a gem, the peacefulness, delicious home prepared breakfast with fresh fruit & vegetables, home made jam...., tidiness and comfort. The rooms are very... More

During our 9 days in Portugal we stayed in various types of lodging - basic hotel, luxury hotel, a former castle, and an apartment. While all were good, Passado de Pedra was our favorite. The owner was welcoming, despite our late arrival. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The common TV sitting area beside our bedroom gave us extra... More

This small hotel is a lovely renovation of the owner's family home place in Caria, a small, attractive Portuguese town. The owner is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. She communicates well in English and is eager to assist. The rooms are very attractive and comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous, with wonderful baked goods, cheeses, fruit and fresh orange juice.

This boutique hotel (or maybe larger B&B) is owned and operated by the great granddaughter of the man who built the home around 1810. Rooms are large, tastefully decorated and completely up to date. We stayed in a huge second floor room with its own sitting area and a very spacious bath with views from multiple windows. Each room is... More
