We were invited to stay in the Pousada for my best friends wedding. During the check-in the staff all very polite and offered to show us the way to the room explaining the history of the monastery and the services available. In what concerns to the surroundings the Pousada is just perfect, in the middle of the Alentejo countryside with... More

My room was well appointed, large marble bathroom, how ever not all rooms have wifi , (not accpetable in this day and age) but wi fi is in the public areas, but tif you get a room over looking the courtyard bar you will get good wi fi in the room. My room was quiet, comfotable, clean. The staff were... More

We had a room underneath the bell tower which was very different from all other hotel rooms I've stayed at. The bed was place under a 5 m high blue dome (blue apparently chases away the devil). The bed had seen better days and was hard. The hotel itself was, obviously, historic but with added modern buildings that fit well... More

Made a trip visiting five differint pousadas in the mid and south of Portugal. Very friendly reception at the hotel arriving far too early. Comfortable room at a historical site. Reception personnel was very helpful after having experienced a car collision close to the pousada.

These national pousadas are all good because they are monuments. Reasonable prices, good food and a relaxing environment. The town is clean and quiet. Buy a tapestry. Take a walk around the grounds among cork trees.

Had a wedding in the area and this was one of the options where guests could stay. The staff was very friendly, we arrived checked in quickly, having made the reservation that very same morning, and then the staff had a taxi waiting for us to take us to the church. The room was quite nice, however the wardrobe was... More

My friend and I went to Portugal to take dressage lessons with Coralie Baldrey and so we chose a package that included accommodation and breakfast and dinner at the Pousada de Arraiolos - an excellent choice once we had ironed out the terms of our package with the management, with the help of our US based travel consultant - we... We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the Cromeleque standing stones. The Pousada is in a lovely, quiet location just outside the small town of Arraiolos, with beautiful views across the countryside. We had one of the superior rooms in the modern, 1996, wing with a balcony (which had a resident locust!). The room was comfortable, although the black... More

Stayed here for two nights. So peaceful and quiet. We loved the place, truly converted from a 16th century monastery. Facilities were very good, food good and staff great. We came on an escorted tour using Pousadas for our base. They are away from the busy towns the one we used.

This pousada was an old convent in the middle of the Alentejo with a view to the circular castle of Arraiolos. Now that it is an hotel designed by a good architect, you still get to experience the peace and the beauty of nature and architecture, that the convent was meant to help you experience. I just spent three days... More
