Dirty, expensive, isolated and badly managed. I think the best way to describe our experience at the Dragsvik Fjordhotell is to say that we left - at our expenses - after two nights (out of 4). We decided we wanted to leave within few hours after our arrival. After a wonderful experience in Lom, the Dragsvik Fjordhotell was just depressing.... More

This hotel cost us the same as the Rica Seilet in Molde but I would rate it a 2 star - definitely no more than that. The dining room had a beautiful view over the water with mountains and the glacier in the background. However the breakfast was disappointing - no smoked salmon, no cooked breakfast, limited fruit selection etc.... More

I am on the fence as to what to say about this hotel. I read multiple bad reviews here and got a charge out of them--because they're all true. I could play pile on with some sharp examples of this hotel's failings. However, in the end, this place is about the view. Our apartment had the most beautiful, zen-like, unparalleled,... More

We were disappointed to arrive from Oslo by the Flåm ferry only to find out the hotel is 11 km away. The guest keeper was unable to tell us how to get to her hotel but did offer us to reserve a $300 krona dinner of "turkey fillet" if we ever made it. Upon arrival (after waiting an hour for... More

The hotel is located 200m from the car ferry and about 1km from the main town of Balestrand. That said, the location of the hotel is prime viewing territory, amonst all the other hotels in this area. My favourite view is the side of the hotel facing away from the main road, offering a wonderfully picturesque view of Sognefjord which... More

It was worth the value... a nice location and view of the peaceful fjords... quiet and safety place. Indeed, there is no restaurants or shopping places in the neighbourhood, but the hotel's restaurant. The bad thing was the heater... a very old one (from the 50s I assume). You had to sit just next to it if you wanted to... More

This is a relatively small hotel, located just a couple hundred meters from the ferries to Hella and Vangsnes. There are no stores or restaurants in the immediate area. Balestrand is about 10 km away. Our room was on the third (top) floor, and was pretty basic. (It apparently was not the large room on that floor mentioned in other... More

Very friendly and lovely location. We stayed in the very large family area on the third (or second depending on where you're from) floor which was done out like a massive wood cabin. We couldnt believe it when we checked in and saw the space!

We were 3 touring by car. The location is perfect - right next to the ferry terminal to Hella & Vagnes. Super location with views of the lake, very friendly family staff and totally adequate clean rooms - we stayed in the newly refurbished attic studio - not properly furnished yet, but very comfortable. A standard breakfast and dinner if... More

My wife and I stayed overnight 16th - 17th of May 2013. We arrived by the ferry and were surprised by the stunning palce where this hotel was situated. We were lucky, and got a big room with the fjord view. It even had a spacious balcony. (Room 205). Luckily the weather was warm and nice, so we could enjoy... More
