Excellent place to stay, very friendly and great facilities. Beds comfortable, food great, WIFI, pack lunch/flask etc.. they even have proper English Breakfast tea! I went there by myself over the festival, but soon met a lot of other ice climbers and people to climb with. Can't recommend this place enough, will def be there next year..

I stayed here for three nights with friends in January while ice-climbing in the Rjukan valley. This is definetely the place to stay: service by the owner Andre is warm and welvoming and all facilities are top class. We were pampered by delicious meals every evening since we bought the full-board package, but you can also prepare your own meals... More

Stayed here for three days whilst booked on their three day introductory ice climbing course. The weekend was what I expected and more, the course and tuition was well paced and challenged us at the same time. The accommodation was great, like staying in someone's home, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, great showers! The food each evening, a three course... More

This is the place to stay if you are climbing in Rjukan; it is very definitely NOT a hotel but rather functions just like an Alpine hut but with better beds, more space, great showers and a drying room. Dinner (like an alpine hut) is a single sitting 3 course fixed menu; tasty and sustaining when I was there. Breakfast... More

We stayed here for 8 days, it's easily the best purpose made climbing building I've ever been in. I can't call it a hostel it's too good to be classed as that. The service was absolutely unbelievable we arrived an hour late for dinner...no problem. We decided to have dinner on a daily basis due to our plans..no problem. Due... More

The Climb Inn in Rjukan, Norway, beats any bunkhouse I've ever stayed in. Feels more like staying in a Scandinavian home, full of lovingly designed rooms. It even has a library full of mountaineering literature. The two guys running it offer breakfasts and dinners as well, and having sampled their cooking, it's well worth it. The location is perfect for... More
