...overlooking the historic hillside village of Asolo in the Veneto area (Treviso province to be correct though) in North Italy. The rooms are spacious and decorated with traditional interior (think tiles, persian rugs, curtains, pastel colors, 19th century bathroom finishes). The luxury is hidden in all the details, including the service (such as turn-down etc) and friendly reception staff. However,... More

We loved staying here. The two sisters who own and manage the hotel were wonderful to us. The restaurant's food and wine were the best we tasted during our two-week drive through northern Italy. We cannot say enough how good the food was for breakfast and dinner...fresh, organic, deliciously prepared, and with many vegetarian choices. We give the restaurant and... More

I believe that this is the best place to stay of the hotel choices for Asolo, Italy. My rating is not "best for the money" because there a cheaper and much more expensive options. This is the best service, best location and best ambiance in Asolo for a hotel.

Jewels are a common asset attributed to Venice. But we found a gem tucked into the hills above Venice. Asolo is imminently explorable with an impossible to miss property as you look up from the main square and see the pretty mustard-yellow hotel nestling on the hill above us. Its location among the famous Palladian villas and wine region, provided... More

We were given the option of two junior suites - both were charming with different configurations - and one with a bath only and the other with shower only. Both looked fun and both have amazing views over the entire town and valley. We slept both with the windows open and then during a more festive night in the piazza,... More

Albergo al Sole sits at the top of the magical town of Asolo and couldn't be more quintessentially northern Italian. There is wonderful history to the region, the structure and to the sisters who own and run the hotel. You know they are doing something right when, in this tiny medieval town, they have created a five star property recognized... More

The Albergo Al Sole is terrific hotel. The location is perfect overlooking the piazza in Asolo and the restaurant is one of the best in town. The staff was exceptional, providing useful tips and suggestions on local attractions, events and restaurants. The rooms were clean, quiet and reasonably sized and priced. The hotel also facilitated bike rentals and a cycling... More

The Staff, Michela, Silva and others were exceptional! They made my quick 4-day cycling trip seamless. Great staff, great food at in-house restaurant, beautiful location in historic Asolo. I highly recommend this hotel. If you want to cycle, staff can arrange bikes to be on premises. If you need a guide they can arrange that too. I did both and... More

We came here to spend New Year's Eve 2014-15, and was not disappointed. Staff was great. Location....even better. Several small bars and restaurants within 3-4 minute walk. This is a region where road bikes and trekking is popular, so walking the hills is a good activity. We spent 4 days, and did not have to leave this village. Wifi connection... More
