Only did the cooking class with Guido and could not recommend more. It was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of a 3 week trip in Italy. Unfortunately could not stay for the night. But I would highly recommend if you have the time. The place is just beautiful and the staff could not be nicer, plus its nice... More

It was beautiful. Simple & Clean. Extremely friendly staff. Very accommodating and nice. The food in the restaurant was fantastic. The view the room were gorgeous. We took a cooking class and it was out of this world. I recommend everyone to take class. Wine was great too. Close to Siena (I did not like the town much) and too... More

We took part in a great cooking class three years ago and this year returned for more cookery and a three night stay with our 10 year old daughter. This was a highlight of our three weeks in Tuscany. The abbey is beautiful, the gardens and pool very relaxing and the food in the Osteria (just 2 minutes walk from... More

My husband & I just stayed 3 nights at Badia Coltibuono in Chianti, Tuscany and found it one of the most unique and charming places we have stayed. We paid extra for a larger room, which was spacious, bright, decorated beautifully and very comfortable. The best part of our experience though was staying in such an historic place. This ancient... Magical location, an enchanting, wonderful setting. Such a treat to stay in such historic surroundings. We stayed in the converted granary for six nights, just under 250 euros per night. It was comfortable, spacious and most attractively appointed with a blend of modern and original features. Windows opened over the formal gardens and courtyards. We had rented on a self-catering... We attended the 2 day cooking course at Coltibuono and had a great time. There were only 6 of us and so although the cooking consisted of demonstrations there was lots of opportunity to get hands on. Over the 2 days we cooked a 4 course lunch and 2, 4 course dinners so we covered a range of Tuscan and... More

I visited the cookery course the this property offers this month as we were staying in the area. I attended the one day course which runs from 10-3. As described by people staying in the B&B the surroundings are amazing and the whole ambience of the place takes your breath away. There were only 5 of us in total on... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Badia a Coltibuono in Chianti during our April/May 2008 visit to Italy. It is a unique, comfortable bed and breakfast in a beautiful abbey set in a gorgeous, peaceful countryside farm on a hill with marvelous sweeping views of the surrounding forest, a valley far below and the mountains beyond. The staff provided... More

Barbara and Adria run one of the finest B&B's anywhere on the planet. This 1000 year old abbey turned quaint B&B just oozes charm and romance. Perched high above the valley in the heart of Chianti, the family has done amazing things with this place. During the day, it can be over run with day visitors in for wine tastings... More

Spent four days at Coltibuono in May 2006. Weather was great, warm and welcoming staff; even took out bags to the thrid floor. Helped us in everything we requested. The restaurant served up some super food. We also attended the cooking school; this was one of the highlights of our Italy trip. Guido Stucchi handles the classes; he did an... More
