We went here basically for a tour and wine tasting. They are welcoming and seem to really enjoy sharing information about the grounds, which are rich in history and organic esthetics. Well worth the long climb to taste the vine, and enjoy the most panoramic of views.

Fabulous historic place to stay. Cool buildings, extensive gardens, even your own Church to visit. Very good Restaurant on the property that we had a delicious dinner at. The highlight though was "graduating" from a one day cooking school in the Badia a Coltibuono kitchen ! We had a blast with that, and even got to eat the results. Tour... More

This is a must try if you have not stayed in a historical bldg before. This place feels like a castle when we step and and all the furniture and walkway makes u feel like u are in a museum! Parking is free but you need to drive thru some small lanes to reach this magical place. We reached at... More

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Badia a Coltibuono! We stayed here for 3 nights in between a very busy Florence and Rome trip. It was the perfect 3 nights of rest and relaxation in one of the most beautiful and unique settings we have ever seen. The surrounding hills reminded us very much of the... More

We spent three nights here on our recent honeymoon. The minute we drove up the winding drive and arrived, we were unbelievably impressed with Coltibuono. The grounds were gorgeous, the innkeepers gracious and helpful, and the on-site restaurant divine. The wine and olive oil were out of this world, and we even had some shipped home to enjoy again and... More

I spent two nights here as part of my honeymoon tour of Italy and I wish we could have stayed longer! The staff are lovely, the building is historically interesting, the gardens are beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. The pool was lovely although a few more umbrellas would be useful for people like me who prefer sitting in the... More

This was my first trip to the area and I felt as though I had stepped back in time at this B&B. Beautiful gardens, wonderful staff, clean rooms, and an incredibly breakfast. My room opened up to the courtyard and it was a joy to wake to this view every morning. I had a huge bathroom, lots of closet space... More

We stay here two nights during our trip in Tuscany. Accomodation is very stylish and must say, not for all tastes, but we liked it a lot. In old monastery, room are clean and nice. Only downgrade is, that there are no minibars in rooms, pool is not good maintened and pillows are hard as rock!!! Brakfest is average. On... More

Our family of 5 recently spent three nights at Badia Coltibuono in one of their guest apartments. After 10 days of city travel, we were ready for a break, and this is the perfect place. Sylvia was very welcoming, as was everyone else working at the B&B and the restaurant. Our apartment had 4 bedrooms, kitchen, spacious living area and... More

My wife and I did the garden & cellar & wine tasting tour at 5pm today and can report that for 7 euros pp it was average value and 'quite interesting' (apologies to Stephen Fry). There were only 4 of us on the tour which started in the garden. Not a huge garden, which is well maintained, and the history... More
