San Sano is a tiny town tucked away in the hills of Tuscany/Chianti. When we arrived, our host and hostess, Franco & Carla were warm and welcoming. Since it was a cool and rainy day, they brewed fresh cappuccino's to take the chill off and offered homemade pastries as we checked in. Despite the language barrier, they were wonderful hosts... more

I booked this hotel for our honeymoon. €210 for a senior suite. Was high but It looked perfect..!! We arrived to be told we could not check in as the 1 member of staff was assisting another guest currently and to come back in 15 minutes. We checked into our 'honeymoon suite' to complete shock, it was a room (a... more

We stayed five nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The food was tremendous -"The best meal we've had in Italy!" Hospitality was fantastic. We're going to tell all our friends to stay here if they come to Italy. Mike & Mary more

We stayed at this place for 5 nights the first week of October. The bathroom door didn't close, the shower flooded, there was no heat. The gal who was running the place was unflexible in serving breakfast...etc. She offered to book us a tour through a winery every day we were there, but it never happened. The rooms weren't clean,... more

I had made my reservations for September 15 to 21, 2006 through venere.com on January 22, 2006 and then followed up by obtaining a confirmation from Castellare De' Noveschi a few days later. On September 1, 2006, the manager of Castellare De' Noveschi, Manuela, called to inform me my reservation would have to be canceled due to a city water... more

San Sano is a very small Tuscan town with about 40 residents. This is exactly what you invision Tuscany to be like. There is one restraunt (which was closed on the day we planned to eat there) and one small store - which is loaded with exceptional wines and meats. San Sano is somewhat difficult to find and we got... more

This was our first stop on our honeymoon, and we didn't want to leave. And before I begin, I must say, my husband and I are very discriminating travelers. I can't say enough about the Inn and the staff. It was as quaint as quaint could be, yet with the amenities of a 4 star hotel. The town of San... more

It's a wonderful place! San sano is a very very beautiful calm little town, with only 40 residents. the owner bought this old house and restore it with much efforts. And he is such kind , to give us the best Junior Suite for our honeymoon. He gave us a postcard, the pictures are just the same as where we... more

This place is stunning! Every piece of furniture in the hotel are just beautiful and incredibly picturesque. Our "Junior Suite" size room was very big and the bathroom was luxurious. The tuscan breakfast was wonderful. It was, by far, my favorite place to stay and it is definitely worth the price. more
